Title: is Game consoles or is PC the best choice to play games on?
Post by: odifus on August 14, 2009, 11:58:45 pm: well i am curius to see what the argo players think. Is the computor the best thing to play games on or is usual game consoles such as Xbox or ps3 or wii the better choice? If so which one of the Consoles are the best?
Tell me....

My opinion: I love first person games on Pc but racing games and more fantasy 3rd person games are better on console in my opinion, like Fable overlord and starwars.

Post by: Dave on August 15, 2009, 12:02:35 am: Both are good for different things. PC has a wide variety of games and also boasts high graphics whereas consoles may boast high graphics ( but not as good as a high spec PC's) but have exclusive games, like Killzone for PS3 and Halo and GoW for Xbox.

Post by: Caltson on August 15, 2009, 01:24:20 am: If you want it cheaper, i suggest getting a console. highspec PC's are way more expansive, and may also have more problems, beceause the PC has alot more components, and wasn't made for gaming only.

Strengths:
-Good for RTS games
-Good for FPS / TPS games
-Overall well in any sort of genre
-Over 1000 games to choose from
-Many good quality freeware games
-Best Quality
-Almost every game you can choose your own server...
-Able to download mods
-Able to play online flash / java games
-Better cheats / console commands
-Able to host your own server
-More game settings

-General used to multitask...
-Has internet, easier to browse online
-Can used for music / videos and much more...
-Easier to use with experience overall
-Keyboard and mouse

Weaknesses:
-Expensive
-Uses keyboard and mouse
-Fairly hard to learn basics
-almost no exclusives
-Internet set up the bad way? lag.

Console:

Fairly cheap and made for gaming.

Strengths:
-Cheap
-Good for FPS / TPS
-Good for Racing / similar games
-fairly much exclusives
-Uses controller
-Easy to join friends
-Online matchmaking
-Easy to learn and use

Weaknesses:
-Controller
-Limited to games and movies / music pretty much.
-Bad internet or set it up the bad way? lag.
-Not that much (good) games to choose from

yeah... I was bored...
