Well, some may know, but I am building a computer with a few friends for me, and I want to know which is better.
AMD or Intel.
Its going to be 64bit.
Thank you in advance, Josh

AMD :D

Intel

Neither :trust:

AMD is good for computers which you use for internet or video editing etc. Intel is known a lot better as a gaming processor
and Intel's processors have longer life, as far as I know. So my choice would and will always be, Intel.

AMD Athlon. ;)

AMD are hotter at same clock speeds afaik, so if it's gonna be overclocked - rather Intel. But if it's going to run on stock speeds, AMD is good.

Intel, if gaming, AMD if more into media and entertainment (Not games).

Come on Altair who doesn't want a gaming PC (from us Argonathians)!!
P.S
You should go for Intel (idk anymore intel processors have more POWA but they consume much POWA too and it gets hot sooner)!! HQ AMD processors are cheap not very but cheap and you can clock them high until they die even with a cheap cooling vents, also AMD's are cache-starved so games will run great!!!
Resources:I had AMD before my new Intel <3 lol

Intel <3

Intel VS AMD is the same as PS3 and XBOX, both are good.. Intel I7 is the only CPU with 4 (hypertredded)Cores. It's expansive tough.
I know you got a PS3, so if you keep the pc for internet based actions, or GTA SA i advise a 2 Core CPU wether from Intel or AMD.
