Title: Argonath - SAMP Port 7777
Post by: SushiSaurus on August 25, 2009, 12:23:49 pm
When I enter SA:MP I see all others servers on my fav list other then those that use the port 7777, those just continuously have retrieving info - I.P 0/0 and Pink - 9999. It may be being blocked manually at specific times by my provider because of some spam issue, it's happened 2 days in a row; at about 7PM EST I would get kicked out of game and unable to join again because it can't find the server. Normally works the next day but not sure what time.

Any advice?

You may have put a space at the start of the server adding input box.

Re-add the server (89.149.251.147:7777) and make sure there are no spaces at all.

Nah, that's not the problem. It worked fine beforehand but now it's stuffed again, I played my afternoon and it was fine but when I came home later that night it had changed into the Ping 9999 format.

Done so many times now, if I remember correctly; about 6 times. Makes no difference what so ever.

A little while ago internet provider told us our I.P was sending out spam messages to people and we weren't. Then the  :cop: police :cop: rang up and asked us about it and we answered that we didn't. So they told us they would block a port commonly used by hackers to send spam. My theory is that for some reason they think Port 7777 (Port for Argonath and some other fav'ed servers) is being used to spam through. Either I have been hacked by someone going through SA:MP or they have it completely wrong and are looking in the wrong spot.
