Today at about 15:10 I was at school with my friends just talking about some homework stuff under the roof of the canteen, then all of a sudden everyone became quite and I started to feel as if I was going backwards and forwards. For about 8 seconds everybody became quite then suddenly somebody yelled "GEMPA BUMI" meaning "EARTHQUAKE" (in Indonesian). Everybody rushed out to the nearby fields that's away from buildings. The earthquake lasted for about 20 seconds before we stopped feeling the earthquake. We tried using our phones to try and call other people but the phone lines were down for about 3 hours, internet links were also downed for several hours.
We then received word that a 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake has just occurred 242km away from Jakarta, it's located just off the coast of the Javanese coast near several islands. A tsunami warning has also been issued to coastal residence. My school is at least 30km away from Jakarta and we still felt the tremors of the quake. The Earthquake were also felt at other cities that such as Bogor (approx 30km away from Jakarta), Bandung (more than 100km away from Jakarta) and several other cities also felt the Earthquake. A city called Takasimaya that was located approximately 142km away from the epicenter is one of the worst hits city. Old buildings collapsed and several deaths were recorded.
At least as if 18:00 14 people are confirmed dead and the death toll is expected to rise as more people are uncovered from the wrecked buildings. God rest to the souls of the people who died...

Yeah we're allright here but the death toll for the Earthquake is now at 39 dead. SAR missions are still being carried out through out the devestated regions. The Earthquake was felt at the islands of Sumatra and Bali too, these islands are AT LEAST 700km away from the epicenter of the Earthquake.

Yeah, because anything that doesn't coincide with your idea of a perfect world, in-fact means that the world is coming to an end. Ever stop to think that nature is the cause, and this shit has been going on before the first human ever set foot on earth's soil?
