were you at a house/bizz ?

i got this problem every ~2 days...
re-install GTA or just wait car reset or server restart..
after that you'll connect on server.
-
easier way to fix this, goto
My Documents >> GTA San Andreas Userfiles >> look for "gta_sa.set" and delete that,
when you start GTA again, you will just need to reset your graphics options, but it should fix that issue...

That problem can be caused by several issues. Sometimes, it's considered a "glitch" as their's almost no reason for your game to crash at that point, as if you try several minutes or hours later, it works once more. However, this can be due to the point MadBoi explained, and/or due to modifications.
For example, replacing a vehicle such as the Cheetah and/or Bobcat with a modification such as a Ferrari and Dodge respectively, can cause problems if they don't also replace the ".dff" files for the car mods as well. Such as the exhaust and sometimes roof scoops. Thus, if someone tunes one of these vehicles in-game, your game will crash and you won't be able to reconnect to that server till those modifications are removed, a server restart has taken place or a vehicle reset.
So, to ensure that doesn't happen, I suggest you to open the file "carmods.dat" in your "GTA San Andreas/data" directory, and take a look at it. It's recommended to only replace vehicles with modification lines such as "nto_". "nto_" will be for the nitrous bottles. However, if you can find a modification to replace a vehicle, and also replace it's tuning parts, then, you can go ahead. So, always make sure to have your "carmods.dat" file at it's default, and do not replace vehicles with tuning parts unless the modification you're replacing it with has the available tuning parts.
Also, as another note, any vehicle which is not listed in the "carmods.dat" file is safe to replace as well. ;)
So, next time, keep those things in mind. ;)
