Title: Xfire-Gaming messenger :D

3 Great reasons why Xfire is easyer to use than MSN whilst playing games;
1. U can track your gaming hours
2. You game IM people WITHOUT having to minimize ur game
3. Its not even half as lagging as msn :D
My Opinion: Gte it if u like games :D (Or not its ur choice :D)

Man can u first teach me how to use it

there are hotkeys

and i wanna say that when i start VC with X fire

The player names in MTA are all inverted i see.
And my game crashes 3-4 times then it starts
And it doent also record my gaming time  :(

I used to have it, it makes irritating beping noises :( can u turn them off?

ANyway, my Xfire account is jcstodds  - I will download it again. Mainly just to track gametime: how do you do that?

Errr,  Xfire works with MTA or SA:MP?

Every time i load them up, I get an "Xfire exception" the game gays out and I have to sign off Xfire.

Xfire works absolutely shit for me with MTA... The names are all screwed up of the people so u can't read the name of some death matcher trying to shoot you and sometimes it takes a bit of fiddling with to get the actual GTA Vice City application to start. :mad:

Spose i should of told u guys that Xfire doesnt work with MTA huh? lol but yea it should work fine with SA, and to track ur gaming hours all u need to do is have xfire on and the game running.

How to use xfire with MTA

1. Go to xfire's folder: C:\Program Files\Xfire
2. Open up xfire_games.ini with notepad.
3. Use find (Edit -> Find or CTRL+F) to find "Grand Theft Auto - Vice City".
4. Remove this line: InGameRenderer=D3D8
5. Save the file.


Now everything should work, but the ingame chat won't.. :)
