Title: Avatars problems
Post by: Voodoo on September 17, 2009, 12:27:46 am
Whenever I try and set an avatar, less than 100 x 100, It get's squashed and becomes a 100 pixel wide/tall. It's annoying. Is there something that can be done against it?

Did you try setting your avatar to a URL instead of uploading direct?

Uploading it directly doesn't works, and URL's get resized.

This has already been discussed...

The main forums have a 100x100 set avatar size. There is no way around this. Unless the admins decide to change the limit, there is nothing you can do.

You can make a smaller than 100^2 avatar and paste it on a transparent 100^2 .png file (PNG format supports transparency).

If it's meant to be animated - GIF has transparency as well, but a bit worse than PNG.

Basically...

I can change it... ^^ but I will only do if its really needed.
Currently there is no reason that it is needed.

But still it should support smaller avatars then 100x100.
Thats why I am wondering...
