Title: [FIXED] Fake Spyware Infection Warning
Post by: James_Alterlis on September 23, 2009, 11:51:36 am
I turned on PC, notice the "X" Sign (Fake) and the balloon saying

Your computer is infected!
Windows has detected spyware infection! (:O)

It is recommended to use special (orly?) antispyware tools to pervent (Pervent or face?)
data loss.Windows (OMG look, typo, no space after .) will now download and install the most
up-to-date antispyware for you. (Orly?)

Click here to protect your computer from spyware! (Ooh, I'm so scared)

I clicked it by accident, the "Antispyware 2010 Downloading" box appeared up
But I use Task Manager to close it.

Its also block me from accessing Anti-Virus Websites
such as AVG, Avast, NOD32, and other...
All of it, blocked from accessing...

Help  :poke:

Get Anti-Virus Software!
It will fix these silly virus!

Virus.

Are you able to run a virus-check with your antivirus? If not, try to Restore the System to earlier date, perhaps to a week earlier and after that try to run virus-check. Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore (for XP). If you have Vista, try to find System Restore from the Search tool.
