Title: Freezing on login screen...
Post by: Vince on September 28, 2009, 07:19:30 pm
Hi,

I've already tried re installing GTA SA, deleting the gta_.set file or whatever it is in my documents.
What it does is it loads, comes to the welcome screen, does
Account exists please login
*while it's doing this I can type for like 3 seconds in the chat bar then everything freezes*
shows [AV]Vince has joined the server
freezes.

Help please.

Does it freeze on every server, you go to?
Have you tried reinstalling sa-mp?
Are you using mods?

If you have mods

1: Uninstall and Reinstall ALL of your mods. If you are unsure if you uninstalled all of them, Re-install GTA.

2: Download IMG Tool

3: Extract this to your desktop or wherever you want (THIS IS AFTER YOUR MODS ARE REINSTALLED) Open the program wherever you extracted it. Then click File -> Open and navigate to your GTA Folder

4: Now once you're in your GTA folder, find the models folder and go in there. Double click gta3.img or click gta3.img and press open

5: Now you should be in a screen with a bunch of files such as bmytatt.txd bmytatt.dff files like that

6: Click on commands and choose "Rebuild Archive" This may take a few minutes depending on the last time you did it. I hope this works for all of you. Please reply if it worked for you and if it does, please post if you think it should be stickied.

Requesting topic lock, the issue was that I had a corrupt SFPD car file. I installed it using SAMI but it only had a txd file. When I uninstalled it it took away the original SFPD dff file and that wouldn't allow my game to start for some reason, which I would have NEVER guessed. I love you Fred_Cortez and GHunter.
