Title: Petition - CoD: MW2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
The first Modern Warfare was massively known for it's awesome multiplayer mode. The multiplayer servers were hosted by dedicated servers.

Activision/Infinity Ward have decided to remove the option of hosting a server via a dedicated server for Modern Warfare 2.
What this means is that players will have to host servers.

Due to players hosting the game -

Together, that means that multiplayer will be made fucking shit! D:

There is a petition that has been created to go against this decision. If enough people sign up, I'm sure that Activision/Infinity Ward will have to implement dedicated server hosting. So please, sign for the petition! :D

Yeah, but Infinity Ward have made the game shit for PC gamers.. :neutral:

I don't think you quite understand. I am also a heavy downloader, downloading around 8-15GB everyday on average. All the games I have are pirated, I mean all of them. Never have I ever once paid for a single game on PC. However I would happily sell my internal organs for the awesomeness of this game. You can't fuck with the facts. FPS is made for PC. One of the most eagerly awaited FPS of all times has been made shit. :(
PC Gamers are not asking for pirated versions or anything like that, just that dedicated server hosting to be returned.

My guess is that dedicated server will be ready but will be postponed(as patch) for them to first test run their idea, and if it fails, a patch with "real" multiplayer will be released.

I got a little scared.  :neutral:

I asked my father what was going on, but he said he left the door open, and was getting coffee.
But if it is about Modern Warfare 2, then I guess the boycott kinda worked.

You guy scomplain about not being able to find a decent server to play on due to hackers and cheaters. You complain. IW does something about it. You complain about now not being able to mod and hack the game. Typical CoD fanboys stuff....jesus guys, saw this comming.

They think players still play origianl gm's..

xbl/psn players have mike mayers/borderlands games, pc players have alien/zombie games..
Heck i have more played before the Dawn than original mp!

Infinity Ward will definitely make some type of move to influence the PC gaming community to buy the game, I just hope it's implementing dedi's. D:

Lets say Left 4 Dead '' that game sucks because you cant have own dedicated servers! '' As far i know L4D and MW2 is usig kinda like same MP way.

L4D uses the following:
Guys make lobby, get people in it. Then press "Start game". The lobby leader automaticly searches (The lobby leader doesn't do anything, everything is automated by computer scripts) a dedicated server with the following campaign to play on. Then, when they find it, he sends requests to other lobby players (Again, automated, and the players don't need to press anything) to join the following server, and they all get on it.
IF, and only IF, he doesn't find a suitable with ping and other requests, only THEN he hosts his own server, and it lags like hell.

Well... First of all, no dedicated servers sucks bad.. Second is Lack of Promod, which TOTALLY SUCKS..
Punkbuster moving to VAC => More hackers, no thx.
No Custom map, good, most of them are full of sh*t.
Server player limit 16 player, EXTREMELY GOOD, no-one can't play 10v10 games, it just sucks.

Only the SinglePlayer is interesting..
And Call of Duty series IS made for multiplayer.. And now some sh*tty consoles ruins even that, IMO consoles should be removed and more FPS to PC.

well there are rumors that pc version will get an update strictly for mp in about a month after release.

Maybe they just want to see how will it turn out, and if fals, update will bring old,proven metod of mp.

I was playing multiplayer, and someone told me that dedicated servers will come in the next patch. Even better, somebody was looking at the config file, and found a clue that probably indicated that dedicated servers will come.
