Title: Various language section
Post by: Andre93 on October 28, 2009, 04:52:55 pm
well it would be nice speaking, discussing with people on your own language on forums without bothering anyone with a UFO language for them, so my suggestion is making a a child board for non english languages , but only include those languages that big part of Argonath speak, not some bushmen language.

And how will you determine, what language have big enough speakers, that they deserve a child board? You know what I think is good about Argonath, that it has it rules and no exceptions. If you want to speak I guess in your example in Russian, why not make a total new forum for it yourself, like a lot of clans have made.

Putting up a PHPBB forum is not uncomfortable at all, it is easy as pie. And I mean what is for example the percentge that one community have to have?

Why not include bushmen languages? It's easier if you would just add a section called 'NON-ENGLISH YADDA YADDA' and let people or whoever create a topic for their own language..

Yeah that would be cool, one board for every language..

This may sound a bit rude, but it isn't to be. Use the private messaging system.

I would of joining Joey , but every language having its own topic would make pluses for us - players. For example i could found and finally know - which ones are my natives here.

No.

It's not needed. I'd rather have the member map restored instead (or at least to have the flags auto-selected based on the user's location, which would be based on his IP)

I would also like to add the following idea. Each language section will have one forum moderator that keeps the order in the topics and helps new players in the same language.I have seen this in an other forum,so yeah I agree!

That would work.
But one problem. Who would moderate that? Who would know the content of these topics?

Use PM for native language discussion

Why wasting space to put 100x language threads.....It would all be messy...
Speak English, after all this is an English board
