As you already noticed our web was disabled... The reason of that was in moving site and forums on the new engines... We used this situation and changed the website design...
Hope you will like it...
Forums still have problems though... We will try to fix it...

I like the style they are working too.
I know what they want, only on the forums, I have to say.
I looks really .... messy with this banner, but I know/think webmasters are working on this.

1. We still work on all - site and forums, as the transfer phailed to be correct...
2. I have no idea which banner are you all talking about... If Header of forums - yes it will stay...
3. All icons (awards, rank stars) will be either moved to old style (not transfered yet) or will be new...

As EliteTerm mention they have several things to sort with the forum and site, so the best we can do is to be patient and wait.

There is nothing to like or dislike... Actually the design is still the same...
the changes mostly went in engine, which for you is not even noticeable...
As for website - it is better as it started following the one style, not a mess it was before, plus easier way to find what needs...

It's to do with the SMFBUY system, Trade count mos tlikely represents how much item you've sold or Bought. Bit like Ebay ;)

The problem is that those dimensions are resolution related. For example, with a 1680*1050 resolution the image will be alot more stretched then if you use a 1024*768 resolution.
The solution is then to make it rather large (something like 1500pxl * 300), so it will be downscaled for people with small resolution, an upscaled for people with high resolution. I'll give it a go.

Regarding the links issue above with it being black instead of white, you guys already correctly set the text to white. Now you just need to set the "link", "alink", and "vlink" settings for the links to white. Links and text have independent color systems from one another. If you can directly access the link code from the index page, try changing it from w/e link code it is, to include "link="white" in the code.

For this problem, have you tried to look in your index.css file (location must be this: Themes/Argonath/css/index.css). The line below is making the links black:

That's more like that the page didn't load fully... Notice the green loading bar is not full yet. The * represents a star until it gets loaded (if you copy-paste the stars into somewhere like an MSN chat they'll be pasted as * symbols).

A sketch up of a possible header. :) Dimensions are 1500px (width) and 225px (height).
It's better to be reduced than increase into bad quality. (as for me and 1440x900 resolution it's all blurry)

If serious: Before drinking first think what is the point... If to be drunk - the fastest way - Vodka with the beer... If you want to stay in a clear mind - never mix Vodka with anything, especially with alcohol lower percentage (actually, any) and water with gas (Coca-Cola for example)... Vodka should be cold... Before the first drink eat a lil... After drinking Vodka - also eat... More food - less alcohol goes to blood... The best food that makes alcohol effect less - marinaded cucumbers... In some countries it is known as "ogurki"...

Some people see them, some don't. Argo's forums use special ad systems that help make Argo money to pay for it's hosting among other things. Unfortunately though, malicious websites keep slipping fake, redirecting ads into the system, some of which can cause viruses as well. Contact dealt with it awhile back on the old forums and since had it fixed, but it seems it's popping up again, and pretty badly at that.

1. NO. Stop trying to dictate what browser everyone uses. They shouldn't have to use a specific one because of malicious ads. Secondly, quit believing FF is so much better. I've BEEN using FF when I got these ads. Most people were. It's not unique to ANY browser.
2. For unknown reasons, Google blocks them from using their ad services. I spoke to Gandalf and after Christmas they will collect their current payouts from the ads and test a new service.

No, you just don't have the brains it seems to learn when to stop bashing browsers and quit trying to force others to conform to your preferences. Welcome to the real world. Like I stated previously: Users should not have to go through all that trouble to stay safe.
Oh, and by the way, your little Add-Ons are 1. Just that - add ons. They are not standard with the browser, invalidating your statement, and 2. Why would anyone want to install 3 ad/script blockers just to browse on Argo's forum? That's pointless and should never have to get to that point anyway. Especially when there are good ads Argo WANTS to display so they make money. It's only the bad ones that are sneaking into the ad company's service that they are trying to block.
So please, the next time you say it's a pity that I don't have the balls to do something, think before you speak. Balls and brawns are nothing without a brain to tell them what to do. ;)

Don't even tell me that wasn't directed at me when it clearly was. Firefox isn't the safest browser around because of Add-Ons. Add-Ons are ADD-ONS. They are little accessories to the browser itself. Firefox isn't the safest browser on it's own because no browser is. No matter what you do, each and every browser has it's own weaknesses that can be exploited, making them no less safer than any other.

Don't even tell me that wasn't directed at me when it clearly was. Firefox isn't the safest browser around because of Add-Ons. Add-Ons are ADD-ONS. They are little accessories to the browser itself. Firefox isn't the safest browser on it's own because no browser is. No matter what you do, each and every browser has it's own weaknesses that can be exploited, making them no less safer than any other.

Who told me or Mario were forcing others to use it? I just said what can solve the problem with ads, I didn't force anyone..
FireFox is the safest browser with add-ons, as it is based on add-ons.. Also it is 80 times faster than IE / Opera with add-ons..

I have spotted a very annoying bug with posting, noticed it for weeks, thought it was my computer, but i have a different computer and I get the same sutff.
The problem is, now lets imagine "-" represents bullet points.

Google Chrome is the fastest browser.. It is safest browser without add-ons..
FireFox is the safest (with add-ons), but without them, it is just a second fastest browser..
Opera is fast, yes, but uses alot of resources (RAM & CPU). Also it's safe but not as much as Chrome or FF is..
IE is slow, takes alot of resources.. Also it is not so safe when comparing these four..

Myself and various others can confirm this. It has been happening for quite some time now. I think it may be related to when the old database was converted for use with this newer forum version. More than likely something got effed up along the way.
