Title: Files automaticlaly being deleted by itself
Post by: soad103 on November 10, 2009, 01:18:06 pm
ok it all started when i attempted to mod in GTA San Andreas, after that i f**ked everything up so reinstalled my GTA San andreas then suddenly my files when im not looking, or when im sleeping they all get erased.  My parents are not doing this or any other person living in the house because they dont know how to use the computer.  The files are constantly getting deleted by itself, same as ventrillo files, team viewer files, now 2day when i go to the downloads folder i see that every single folder that has all my downloads is deleted.  Can anyone help me stop this?

Do not discuss piracy.

Just curious, where was anything about piracy in this topic?

It's possibly a virus running in the background. Run a HijackThis scan and post the log here.

If you open HijackThis, then make sure you select: Scan and save log file.
When scan is finished, notepad will come up with full log.
Copy all text, Ctrl+A to select all, and copy this to this page, big box: http://www.hijackthis.de/ (http://www.hijackthis.de/)
This inspects the log and shows you all problems.

Btw, do you have Windows 7?

Damn this is probably a dangerous virus... happened to a guy i know once, he has had about 50% of his computer files deleted before he could save it.

@janar i ddint want to post the entire thing cuz i was scared of IP Addreses and stuff
and also yes i have windows 7

btw i think this is because i started modding, when i started my files started getting deleted by itself, then i made a copy of Rockstar Games folder to "trick" the virus, then i got bored once and i tried modding again and boom all files are gone including my Download files now its goign to be a pain in the ass redownloading them all, my only main concern is fixing this
