Title: Serious problems with wireless.
Post by: Gird3r on November 21, 2009, 07:06:26 pm
Nvm. I found the solution which I never tought I would.

For everyone else.

IF you are having problems with the DWL-G122 C1 and WZC frequently disconnecting/lag-spikes on Windows XP:

1.Go and find the latest Dlink drivers for the USB.
2.Install them and make sure you INSTALL the Airplus config utility. In short, choose no to using windows to configure the wireless
3.Go to Start>Run And type CMD
4.Copy this:  net stop WZCSVC
5. Right-click in the cmd and paste it and press enter. You should see the black box saying disabling wireless config. Something like that.
6. Open the config utility and go to the tab thats before the about tab.
7.Choose your network.
8. Should be done now.
extra:

If you use and security related such a wpa, the network will start to go nuts. What you will want to do is click on your network in the same list, and go to properties. And choose "Config of autentsing". Something like that.
At the top will be a box with something about WPA-Password.

Type your network password there and press OK at that screen.

Hope it helps.

(You will have to do the net stop everytime you boot into windows, ethier make a bat-file to click of it, or go to the services manager and choose to permantly disable WZC (can be re-enabled of course, but this prevents it from messing when you boot))
