Title: Is SnowFX Mod Allowed On Argonath?
Post by: DriverGuy on November 24, 2009, 03:44:19 pm
Is the SnowFX mod allowed on Argonath?
Its only a mod that gives you snow particles from the sky, It has four different modes which you can change using CTRL + Any numberpad button.
It has no other changes like Drifting hacks, Speed hacks, Car spawning hacks, ETC
Ive got it downloaded on my computer but i dont know wether im allowed to enable it on Argonath.

Also its only visible from the person who has it downloaded, so no one else will see it.

As long it does not give you ANY Advantage in ANYTHING, yes you can install it..

however if you are detected using any bug or something by it as advantage, it will get you banned.

A snow mod should ONLY re-place some textures, making everything covered by snow.
However, changing handling, adding weather or other kind of special effects, are NOT allowed as they may give you an unfair advantage towards other players on the server.

In my opinion, modifying the weather as long as it does not modify the weather's effects on vehicle handling is not an unfair advantage. Same as modifying a car's .dff / .txd, but leaving the handling untouched.

Yes it is allowed. It doesn't affect the handling, just creates cool looking snow. :D
