Title: Port forwarding
Post by: Leon_Mokomaki on December 04, 2009, 09:49:18 pm
Okay so im trying to forward my port... the guide says that i have to have a static IP. Okay so i followed the guide to turn your IP to static and it worked. Then i opened the right ports for my new static ip but all the "open port" checkers still say that its not open. lol. followed all of the guides from www.PortForward.com (http://www.PortForward.com) and double checked.. any solutions?

Well yeah, if i didnt then i wouldt of been able to turn my ip to static would i? dunno.. But i found out it wasnt cause of my firewall because when i was uninstalling my old one to install zone alarm it still didnt work when i had no firewall at all.

also opened the port i want to use with my new static ip from my router control panel.. followed the instructions from portforward.com

Problem still not solved :/

If you have even close to mine settings..

NAT > Port Forwarding.

Set those there and press "Apply" :)

Make sure you type the right port, and your 192.168.xx.xx IP.. Otherwise it won't work, believe me :D

How you did you try port is not open?
IMO, some programs are unrealiable to test it, best is to set up game-server and see if anyone can connect there through that port..
