The Vercetti Mafia was a very powerful underworld mafia that was based in Vice City. The Vercetti Mafia was headed by Thomas Vercetti also known as Tommy Vercetti, a former Forelli Family member ( a mafia that Sonny Forelli runs ) who has assumed control of many businesses and property ventures in Vice City, 1991. The organization is known to be involved in many various illegal enterprises, including extortion, kidnaps, drug dealing and organized crime. Doyle Seville joined the Vercetti mafia and eventually became their Underboss. In 1999, Thomas Vercetti was killed in a shootout between the Vercetti Mafia and the Vice City Police Department, after that incident, none was leading the Vercetti mafia. In 2001, Doyle Vercetti was chosen as their new Don because of his great leadership and knowledge. In 2006, The Forelli Family ambushed the Vercetti Mafia during a drug deal. Everyone was killed except Doyle Vercetti who fled to the United States of Argonath ( San Andreas )
Doyle can't go back to Vice City because he fear that the Forelli Family had killed every one of Doyle's family members. Doyle Vercetti decided to start and run the Vercetti Mafia once again in San Andreas.

Don
The Don is the highest position in the mafia, therefore he is the leader of the mafia.
The Don's job is to lead and command the mafia and make sure everything goes well in the mafia
Underboss
The Underboss is the second highest rank in the mafia.
The Underboss's job is to lead the mafia whenever the Don is away.
Lieutenant
Lieutenant are highly skilled trained mobsters in the mafia. They are the most respected rank.
Lieutenants have the rights to command lower ranks.
Soldier
Soldiers are skilled and trained. Soldiers have the same job as the Mobster.
But the Soldiers may command the lower ranks.
Veteran Mobsters
Veterans Mobsters are well trained mobsters, they know how to handle any situations.
Mobster
Mobster's main job is to follow the Don or any higher ranks's order.
The Mobster has no rights to command the lower ranks.
Associate
Full member of the mafia.
Although they are now a full member of the family, they still need more training.
Trial
The Trial is not a full member of the mafia yet.
They must prove worthy of becoming a Vercetti mobster. The Trial's main job is to train and learn.
