Title: SUGGESTIONS!
Post by: Vince on December 07, 2009, 01:37:00 am
Alright, well, I need some suggestions.

Currently I have 4 browsers installed on my computer:

Internet Explorer - Came with Vista, never used it unless Firefox had a flash problem or somethin

Firefox - My current default browser, have been using it forever, is pretty good but can be a bit slow at times.

Opera - My cousin introduced me to it, and installed it on my computer (lol). I didn't use it for like a month but then I tried it out. It wasn't half bad and was pretty cool and personalize-friendly, but is a bit buggy.

Google Chrome - Currently using it to type this up, I heard really good things about it. From what I've seen so far it's really fast. It takes like 3 seconds to load up the forum and seems pretty cool.

So what I need help in choosing is - what should I choose? I'm planning on changing from Firefox just honestly to try something new, see if something else is faster.
What I am looking for is something like, for example, I can click the home button and 4 tabs with Argonath forum, ARPD forum, etc. tabs will pop up for me. Firefox and Opera can do this, not sure about Google chrome though.

Suggestions? And don't feel limited to these four, if there's better out there feel free to suggest em to me so I can try it out. :D

Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:
Websites that collect or share information about you
Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit
Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys
Surveillance by secret agents
People standing behind you
Learn more about incognito browsing.

LMFAO. I LOVE IT.

Obviously FireFox, due to addons, security, speed and small memory usage.

I'm most comfortable with IE, though I've got Firefox installed and use it too.

I'd definately say Opera.  Opera is way better than Firefox in my opinion, as it's a bit more user-friendly and has enough options to set it up just the way you like.  However, it's all a matter of preference, and I've been using Opera for as long as I can remember.  Good luck in choosing one that suits your preferences.  ;)

Obviously FireFox, due to addons, security, speed and small memory usage.

Firefox uses shitloads of memory. Every time I open task manager, Firefox is using 100MB+ of RAM. I think that might be due to me always having like 50 tabs open at the same time. :D
Firefox does have awesome addons and security.

Seen as you'd like a change, I'd advise you to use Google Chrome. It's the fastest browser out of the options that you've given. I guess the simplistic and user friendly design makes it awesome for noobs like you. :P

I'm using Chrome, and as you know Vince, that makes Chrome awesome xD

Its a lot faster, and it doesnt have that stupid download box, everything downloads at the bottom of your page, is really useful for keeping track of your downloads.
