Long story here...
Recently my motherboard and modem blew out owing to a lightening strike. So I fixed up the modem with a new one and got a new motherboard. The computer guy came in, fixed the new motherboard, did NOT reinstall windows and left.
Until the whole lightening strike issue, my san andreas or samp had no issues - it worked on 1024x728(or whatever reso) on high graphics and everything else. Now, once the new motherboard was installed, as stated in this topic (http://argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=46394.0) I began to see triangles AND have severe lag issues.
Now here is the weird part - initially there were no issues at all! The motherboard was installed on tuesday, tuesday went fine(except for random restarts of the PC, there were no freeze/lag issues or graphics issues) wednesday was ok, thursday was sort of ok too. Come friday and the random restarts STOPPED and the freezing issue began. Initially the freezes happened like, once in 30 minutes...then it began to occur more frequently. It was almost as if my PC had a mind of its own :trust:
As of now, freezes occur every 2 seconds(no joke) plus the graphics issue regarding triangles.
Here is what I tried -
1) Reinstalled San Andreas(the problem occurs in the single player and multiplayer) - please note, I did not delete my save game as that should not have any effect
2) Cleaned the insides of my PC - someone on our community suggested that random freezes could happen if there is dust and if cleaned all would be fine. I cleaned everything, including a painstaking effort at opening and cleaning the separate cooling unit.
3) Tried using game booster, to no avail.
4) Searched on the net, saw one possibility being the running of Windows Event log removed it from my startup and tried, again, to no avail.
Here is what I did not do -
1) Reinstall windows after new motherboard - computer guy didn't mention it, besides, all other games/applications run fine. There are hardly any random restarts right now. Plus I am a noob at reinstalling windows, haven't figured out how to do it yet
2) Install any mods of any sort either before or after the new motherboard. My SA is in the original state.
3) Install any new programs
If I have no solution I guess its bye bye from me for a while  cuz I simply have no cash to get a new PC. I just can't figure out why my sweetheart has to be so moody :P
If you reply, please remember - all other programs/games work fine. However I have not installed any other game with the third person view, only old games - Mortal Kombat( :P ), Age of Empires, the like. I tried Unreal Tournament 99, for those who have played it, the game works fine but the chat shows a lot of gibberish. No freezes for it though.
Please help if possible, thanks in advance.

Not too sure if this may but help.
But have you tried to reinstall the drivers for your hardware or removed old drivers as some may be conflicting and causing issues.
About the computer restarts ,If using Xp you can go to my computer ,properties, click the advanced tab ,startup and recovery settings and unclick Automatically restart .This then may show the bluescreen on the next automatic restart showing the name of the error. - Not sure if its the same for vista or 7
Sorry for my bad explaining if it doesnt make sense D:

You could take it back to the computer guy, as the problems started to appear shortly after the change of motherboard.

Err, do they uninstall or re-install these drivers when a motherboard is replaced? Because I have not yet considered this option.

Well I will bring him here by his lapels in all probability xD
I honestly hope a windows reinstall will fix. Everything was perfect till this new motherboard.

If you use Windows XP, then you might have problems, when you change hardware. Then format is needed.
If you replace any hardware part, you need to uninstall old drivers and install new drivers, for it to work properly.
Right now, the best solution in my opinion would be to back up all important data, format your PC, install Windows back with all needed drivers, then programs, then other data and try to play then.

If it's not too much bother, I'd recommend you to re-install a copy of Windows. What motherboard was installed, I mean was it the same one as your old one?
If you don't know how to re-install Windows, I can give you detailed instructions upon the whole thing on MSN or something.

Thank you Janar and Wash.
Reinstalls normally work their wonder, and yes, I guess that is my only option. Wash, as far as I know, the make of the motherboard is the same (ASUS) but the model may be different. Special thanks to Wash for offering to help, my CD Drive is given for obtaining a warranty replacement, when he comes to fix it, I will request a reinstall of Windows.
I reckon I have to wait till he comes, will give him a call tomorrow. Thanks guys.
