Hello Argonath :D

Im asking for Fishing script, its amazing script, its don't give alot of money, but its fun, and nice, if its added to the Argonath server scripts, thats gona make the server wonderful more than now :), because the server full of seriously  :hit:.

So i think maybe its gona be nice to add it.

Fish Commands -

!baitline
- Bait's your line with 1 Bait must be at the Jetty
!castline
- Cast's your line if you have baited it
!fish
- Shows your current amount of Fish you have to sell
!givebait <Nick/ID> <Amount>
- Gives bait to the specified player
!sellfish <Salmon/Mackerel/Browntrout>
- Sells Fish, must be at the Fish store
!fishprice
- Shows how much each Fish is worth if you sell them

I'm sure everyone remembers the fishing script. Quite a few people liked sitting around doing nothing just typing commands to get money. But people did like it and it was another way to make money instead of running around with a badge and a shotgun. The last fishing script was WAY too easy, and when I say way I mean way.  So I was thinking how could we make it more difficult? Well I came up with this.

There would be hidden spots on the outskirts of Vice City, where it is possible to catch certain fish. The player would have to get a boat, and search for these hidden fishing spots. The only way they would find them is by trial and error, meaning they would have to keep casting their lines (Yes, wasting bait of course) and waiting to see if they have found an area with fish.

The area highlighted in red are where the fishing spots would be hidden. Only little areas within the the red (Small radius of about 15) are where the fish can be caught. Each area would give a certain type of fish. Maybe the more expensive fish could have an even smaller area, so it would be even harder to find.

For players to be able to fish, they would have to buy certain gear such as the fishing rod from a store as well buying bait. I also think that players should be able to eat and trade fish as a food item, as well as selling it to the script. However the script gives very little money back. Also, eating fish should give hp regeneration slightly better than a pepperoni pizza.

Why would this fishing script be more difficult than the last:
  • The players would have to use a boat
  • The players would have to find the hidden fishing spots
  • Fishing would take more time
  • Players would need certain gear to be able to fish
Also if your fishing on a boat in the middle of the ocean, your safe from people ramming you into the ocean. But keep in mind that your still not safe from The Bait Killer. If anyone has more ideas for a fishing script, share them.

IMOif the scripts ar e so hard i think you shouldn't have a shark attack..
 i think you should buy gear to check fish is monitored and it should be like 50 k

Linking on to Klaus's idea, I think something along those lines could work.
Perhaps a slightly wider rate of successful catches would be good. If you wanted to go into complexity, you could have stages/levels of fishing - the more you fish, and the more successful you are, the higher chance of you finding a spot, maybe?

i dont like it, and with the fact that they will have to be at sea, it will just lower the RP in vc, like 50% of the people will be at sea...

Yea, we don't want one of those "get rich quick" things. I mean, with the game's area covered by water being fairly wide, it could be made that there are only very few fishing hotspots that you can find, but those are fairly plentiful and covering a decent area for a certain period of time.

Well, people seemed to be rolling in money with the old script, considering they only had to sit there for a while. 
If that script can be improved upon, it could be a less exploiting method of earning money in the game.

I saw ppl fishing all the time as if it was single player and buying too big props ...
