Hi,
Over the last couple of days, the server lag has caused widespeard disruption within game play. Can we resolve this?

Yesterday during a shootout between the cops and Inferno 9 the lag was IMMENSE.
Like Frank said; is there any way to resolve this?

When the server lags, please tell a administrator ingame so we can contact the developers team to see for options

The lag seems to start at 85+ Players. Back in the day, the server would handle over 100 players with no lag at all.

Yes, I have server lag for 2 months...and it usually starts at 85+ players, can it be fixed please? Because I'm dieing here :pop:

Indeed the lag has become really bad recently. I hope this becomes resolved shortly.

Have you thought about your connection to the server?
It may not be server lag, try reconnection. If it doesn't work (does for me 90% of the time) then I'm not sure

It's not the connection, it's the server's issue.
I reconnect like 5 times when a lag occurs, same ping, same lag.
Maybe it's a hosting issue, or the scripts.

I have only really noticed the lag since the server migrated to 0.3.....

0.3 has had some major bug fixes. With these bug fixes, things have been changed.
Hopefully Rock Stars 4.1 scripts will fix this problem.

I also have chat lag, when I write something and I press ENTER the message appears after 2 or 3 seconds, IT IS VERY ANNOYING!!!

Yes Chat Lag is very unique to Argonath, I've never seen it in any other servers, even on a server with 500 players (SA:MP 0.3a Public BETA)

If you're at populated area.. no wonder.
I also were experiencing lag at populated areas few weeks back, but I found out that my SA was directed to use only one core of my Dual Core processor... set it for both and lag was gone!

IcyAero, it's real connection lag - not graphical lags.

It's connection lag plus I get lag on Big Trees + LSPD's Objects ever since I got this GPU: ATi Radeon HD4670 1GB, which allowed me to maximize the settings....
lets hope one of those 2 will be fixxed.

Bare in mind Argonath is more populated than a few months ago.

I experience chat lag that I've never had before. As Frank said, recently everyone's lagging outrageously.

As Collin already stated, this hasn't been going on for just a couple of weeks... it's been like this since RS4 was released. And it has been discussed before but as I guess there is no solution yet, for a while ago CBF disabled certain scripts to try to find the cause of the lag without no success. So I really hope you guys will find a solution in the nearest future... I was really looking forward to SA-MP 0.3x as I thought it would fix the lag issue, but atleast it fixed all the constant crashes we had during previous version.
However, everything run very smooth with about 70-80 players, but over 100 is just a big chaos...

I got chat lag to, and at pershing square(where there is always a lot of players) it lags like hell!

Maybe stupid, but this all started when some scripts changed and started to save things in the server memory (just temporary data)
So couldn't this be a server issues, with problems with his memory? :P

Well graphical the game never laggs for me i have a very good computer. Connexion i have a very fast connexion my ping is all the time 29-37. What i have noticed. I see cars driving at 90 degrees. In a ploice chase i see a cazr infront of me then behind me. When i shoot at a criminal he is behind me infront of me next to me he is lagging so much you can't even shoot him. In the past people with over 300 ping where difficult to kill so you ahd to lagg shoot. But now everyone is just lagging even people with 50 ping. I have noticed this since 0.3 came out. And yeah once we have more then 80 players its realy not fun to play.

It is the server that lags .. Always with 90+ people online. But I prefer lag over pre SAMP 0.3 crashes anyday.

Because with that you will decrease player amount (forcing it).
People wont like it, and it can make people leave, in a further stadium.

Well you could always swap back to RS3, but people wouldn't like that either :rules:

Maybe it's because we have one of the best and biggest scripts in Argonath?
I think RS5 may fix this, although it may come out for SA:MP 0.5, 0.4, or as 0.3 draws to a close.

Since RS4, it will save data temporary into the server memory.
In RS3, everything was saved into files, although this also caused some crashes.
So probably, it's possible it's an issue with the RAM of the server, although I doubt that but is possible.
And I don't think changing back to RS3 is fully possible, as some aspects of the userfiles had change too I believe, not sure.
I am just saying, what I thought I heard - if I am wrong, just say it =]
