The Genovese crime family's boss is Curtis Genovese, also known as ''Curtis Americas''. He became the boss after his father Tony Genovese was killed back in 1957 by Colombo. He succeeded to become one of the most famous and respected mafia bosses of the '70's. He earned the nickname Lucky during an altercation with another gang where he was left for dead, but somehow came out of the ordeal alive. Curtis Americas' left hand was Joey Genovese, which was his uncle. Joey Genovese was also a close friend of the Gambino crime family which was cooperating with Genovese in many actions against the Colombo family. Joey Genovese turned the family into one of the most profitable families in Los Santos history in the '70's. Curtis & Joey wanted to exact revenge for the murders of their relatives, against the Colombo crime family. On the 24th of November, 1968 they accomplished that goal and through their government contacts, seized the Colombo's assets. Most of the police force was on the Genovese's payroll in 1970's. This lasted until 1992 when a new police chief came and waged a war on police corruption. As the new police chief, internal affairs were brought into the department and had twenty officers fired and charged with various crimes. Genovese members were starting to disappear and get pinched for long sentences in federal pens. After laying almost dormant Genovese was official awakened by Don Curtis on the 23rd of November, 2009. The Boss
The Don is the head of the family, no one can call the shots over his decisions. He is also only 1 of 2 people who can initiate someone into the family. Since his rank gives him the authority to give the oath to new members and make them sgarrista.. He also has the authority to give people their positions and ranks.
Sotto Capo
The Underboss is appointed by the Don. He is the second in command of the entire operation. He is usually the leader of "day-to-day" functions..Hes the muscle on the street. His word should go unchallenged by everyone except the don.
Consigliere
The Consigliere is voted by the whole family(made members). In theory, the consigliere is the same rank as the underboss. Yet the consigliere has no power in the "day-to-day" operations. He is only there to advise and sometimes question. He is the equal rank of underboss but does not have the authority to give any orders. His job is to advise on all of the don's decisions and some of the underboss's. He is the only one in the family who is allowed to speak his mind on all important matters and even question the don, yet can not override him.
The Doberman
The Doberman is the best assassin in the family, there can only be one. He normally is a Consigliere and runs a crew of hitmans for the family.
Sgarrista
The Sgarrista is "made" into the family by the Don or Underboss after being voted for by the Consigliere and up. This is the highest rank as normal family member of Genovese family and may sometimes also include in the Hitman crew. They have no power as ''The Boss'' and ''Sotto Capo'' has.

The Picciotto is "made" into the family by the Don or Underboss after voted by the Consigliere and up.

The boss of United States of Argonath's most criminal mobster has been gunned down in El Corona 69cent store, homicide of the year, according to a report from the French-language service of the CBC.
The Radio-USA report says Curtis Genovese., the 42-year-old son of alleged Genovese mob Don Vito, was shot Monday afternoon in the city's Los Santos, El Corona district.
A man was standing on a busy street near a black Mercedes sedan when at least one gunman approached and fired several shots, the report said. Witnesses said the man crumpled into the fresh snow and police soon arrived to take him to hospital.
The gunman fled the scene, investigators said.
Police haven't confirmed the victim is Curtis Genovse and are still interviewing witnesses. Los Santos police spokesperson Captain Vince said a few witnesses gave partial descriptions of the gunman but did not have precise details.
Don Vito is in a medium-security prison in Las Venturas, serving a 10-year sentence for racketeering, relating to three murders in Dilimore in 1981. Curtis Genovese., who was named after his grandfather, has never been charged with a criminal offence, according to the Los Santos police force.
Curtis Genovse., son of the mobster leader Don Vito, was getting the responsibility of the mafia after he got charged and jailed for the homicides back in 1981.
