My gaming laptop's resolution is 1600x900, but I cannot find that setting in GTA SA. Is there ANY possible way to set it? Any help is appreciated.

No. When I connect my gaming PC to my 60" HDTV(RES: 1360x768), I can only get a resolution of 1280x760.

What is your "Gaming Laptop" ?

Not sure if it'd worked in your case, but you could try creating a custom resolution, slightly under 1600x900, with the same 16:9 ratio, then see if the game detects it. For example, you could try creating 1568x882.

Most if not all applications have certain set texture sizes. If you're using a huge TV( 40" or above) and running a 400x600 reso the pixels are going to be as big as the tips of your fingers. Then you change the resolution to something bigger etc. until you find the combination of performance vs video quality. In your case as I understand you can't find the desktop resolution you're using in the GTASA options. Well not to worry like Kitsune said just replace it with something close that's still under it. The closest match will do.

My gaming laptop is a ASUS G72GX.

There's no 16:9 aspect ratio support for this game. If your monitor can display in 16:10, try playing in one of those resolutions.

Yeah like Squeak said it's aspect ratio isn't supported by the game. Try the closest match you can get to your monitor resolution without going over it.
