Afternoon,
I've gotten this steering wheel for the pc from a friend of mine.
But the thing is.. I can't get the pedals to work, steering works, buttons on the wheel too. But the pedals do not work.
The games that I've tried are Live for Speed and Need for Speed Shift.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate.
I hope that anyone can help me,
Thanks in advantage ;)

Was there any software included with your steering wheel?
-
Did it work for your friend?
:ps: I have a Microsoft Sidewinder X8 gaming mouse. :D

My friend hasen't used it for years.. one of the reason that I could borrow it :)
And no, haven't found any software for it. But Windows 7 installed it on it's own, but when setting it up, it only shows 8 buttons (6 on the wheel itself and the 2 flippers on the back) but not the pedals..
NFS and L4S doesn't recognize the pedals either.. :(

Try to Google the whole productname, maybe there are some drivers available.
Or it just doesn't work with Windows 7..

It wouldn't be a driver issue if it's just the pedals that don't work which is exactly the case if I'm not mistaken. Okay so the pedals are connected to the steering wheel Via a cable right? If so, if it's been standing in one place for a whole century of course it's not going to work. You all know those mom's that tidy away everything and wind the cable around it... Check the cable for any visible damage from the outside and if you find any dents in the outer insulation - well there's your problem. What I'd suggest is rip the cable leading to the pedals' outer insulation where the dent/rip/damage of any sort is, trying not to damage the inner wires, OK? I'll attach a pic to show you what I mean. A nice clean cut in the middle with a very sharp knife - make sure it only goes through the outer insulation! If needed repeat a couple of times on various damage marks and look for wires that are broken inside. If needed strip their insulation too but just cut them through the middle and try to solder both ends together again. Cover with insulation tape once finished. If everything's done and it still doesn't work then I might not be able to help you.

Did you calibrate the wheel/pedals?
And did you add them manually via Game Controllers or did it get detected automatically?

This is not possible, cannot find a setting/screen where I am able to calibrate. And it got detected automaticly, which at first I tested on NFS Shift.
The cable looks alright.. but will try to find a replacement cable, would be cool to use the steering wheel with pedals one day :)
