When i played on GTA MP VC, sometimes (today very often) all frozen :S You know, people, only i can move and i must restart game, what i can do?
If this issue appeared, I'm sorry I'm new.

You can try deleting the 'gtavc.set' file?
And can try putting gta-vc.exe into windows 98 compablity mode? or Win 2000?
This is a common issue with video drivers ...see when is your last update on them and tell it here ;)

It's not working.

As I have seen you ingame a lot I suppose you mean about timeouts. Well VCMP client do crash a lot and at least I haven't find any so good solution for it. What I try to do to make it stop crash so often is that I do not run other programs while I am playing on VCMP.

Antivirus?Firewall? What...you turn explorer.exe off too?
That's risky but Its worth a try

Okay Mr.Wise guy :D All unneeded programs like msn.
-
Yeah, go on and shut down explorer.exe smartass... You can't USE your PC if you shut it down..
Also Dex said everything needed..
I usually don't crash much on VCMP as I don't have almost no other program running with it. Of course, firewall, antivirus and stuff like that is on, but no xfire, msn, firefox etc...
If I have one of these on, I crash alot :( (expect for MSN)

i shit myself wen i stopped explorer.exe my computer wouldnt turn off even wen i turned the damn power off at the main DONT TURN OFF EXPLORER.EXE NEVER
-
Of course you can try to turn "explorer.exe" off.
To switch it back on, you just open new process - explorer.exe (using "Run" tool).

Kessu...I told you CAN turn off explorer.exe and it will terminate the whole program actions....I didn't say DO it
If you do that action habitually it can mess your PC up

Isn't this "problem" already solved? It's in the client (VCMP) not in users Hardware/software.

My PC runs on farts D:
Tried reinstalling GTA:VC?

The solution is.
When it freezes and you have to restart. You do not need to restart it.
Just do
Ctrl+Alt+Delete
Then Sleep your computer (Press the power button once )
Then wake it up, and then switch to the Process tab and Terminate gta_vc.exe
Hope it helps
Do NOT shut down Explorer.exe
It wont help....
Sleeping might also take from 10 seconds to 2 min depending on how bad it is.
Dont restart your computer unless it is so frozen that it wont even sleep
