Title: VC:MP R2 Update Discussion

Making a new topic since we were all extremely off-topic on the other thread (lol)...

Little discussion topic about the R2.

New gameplay features:
- Grenade/molotov kill recognition by server.
- Animations have way better synchronization.
- Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launcher fully working.
- Headshots working (M4, Ruger and Sniper Rifles).
- Passengers can now get in cars with AND without drivers (TAB key)!
- Good stability.
- Headless bug fix.
- Carjacking fix.

It brings us a lot of possibilities. From what I've seen in RCON updates, I'm pretty sure a clothes shop system could be scripted!

Yeah it said something about changing clothes without respawning, this brings a lot of possibilities to mind of what could be in 0.4 if they release it. :D :D

The gravity, FastSwitch, Jumpswitch, StuntMode are all global features :(
I thought we could use them as drug effects, but its not possible....

I tested getting in as passenger in a Coach, it worked!
Also, Headshots work on a person when they are on bike (havent tried on passengers).
Cops can lay spikes at roadblocks by a command!

So, we need a new server :D

I know it will take a long time, but we can help the scripters by putting Skin spawns, Vehicles and properties....its very easy.
Ive already spawned 60 vehicles and 6 citizen skins....So if you need coordinates, contact me :D

Guys wanna help putting spawns? It will help. We need the new server soon.

You won't able to connect to the ArgonathRPG server because its running on the R1 version.

Those who are interested in R2 redownload it again.  :neutral:

If you are sticking to R1, then there is no need.

Just added a bindtoIP option i think.....

Finally they release it..

Well time to make some adjustments to script now that changing skin without respawning is possible I'll work on some sort of clothing system aswell as command for cops to use the Tyre Spikes.  Sucks they never released any documentation with this..

Dissappointing list of stuff they added only new stuff really is the cheats and better wep sync etc, rest was included when 0.3z was first released.

Well there is no need for anything as such. The config is basically finished. I helped out with it,as you said, its not hard at all. However it's also very easy to get something wrong that will crash the server.
Rusty as said himself is currently working on the scripts. We all need to wait just a little longer.
And no Alarba, not February, before that.. hopefully..

VRocker already fixed his DLL so it'll work with R2 so all I really need to do is add in a few more commands and just change the config file to yours.

Added the R2 stuff to the scripts, now Level 5 Admins can turn on Flying Cars // Drive On Water and Change the Gravity.  I'll also get round to adding in the new cop cmd for setting spikes.  I won't bother adding setting Game Speed as it's pointless same goes for Taxi Boost or I might.. be cool for events and such :D

Once the function is realeased yes.

Seems like I will remove Gravity.. you change it and try to change it back to the default amount it stays at 32.0000 therefor needing a server restart.  Flying Cars are funny but don't fly that much I managed to make it from Downtown to Leaf Links though :D

We could add a mode.
Like other Dm servers have LMS etc etc..


We could have a funny Mode, like lotr Mode....with funny scripts etc.
We could do random funny things like gravity, gamespeed etc.. in that mode.
When there are less players online or noone is in RP mood, we could enable that mode to have fun :P

But when ppl wants to RP? It'd need a server restart to reset gravity.. (As Rusty said)

And I guess that "funny" mode would become boring after one week..

the new version has anti hp hack, wich if you get in the server with inf. hp game will crash (vcmp)
but already found a solution for that
