Kilo Tray Ballas

Da' story

The Kilo Tray Ballas started back in '85, in Glen Park. They were formed to provide protection against rival gangs, and racism. The gang's founder Michael Kilo, was a young black man. He was charismatic and soon became a man of interest to local drug pushers and mafia's. Some of the mafia families tried to push him around, milk him for what he had, but he stayed strong and started recruiting other brothers, from everywhere. It was around this time that our rivals, Grove Street Families started to also bang. Michael Kilo heard about this new gang wearing green and got some of his guys and went to go meet with them. He got there expecting to be greeted professionally, but was instead greeted with betrayal, after a brief exchange of words, one of the Grove Street Members pulled out a handgun and gunned down Michael. The Ballas that were with him killed two of the Grovers, the other two got away. When the Kilo's heard of this betrayal the started to gain hood, as did Grove Street. The Kilo Tray Ballas, spread to the east. The Grover St. Families to the west. After a while the Ballas decided to adopt purple as the color of their gang, so that they would be easily recognizable, by their enemies, and allies. After the death of Michael Kilo, his son, 17 at the time took control of the gang. It was mostly quite, war wise, under Andre's reign. Until recently, The Grove Street families have started to make more attempts to attack Ballas, so war has again started.
