Title: Problems with the Game and SA:MP
Post by: John_McColl on January 09, 2010, 04:54:27 pm
alright ... here's the deal ... i was playing on GTA:SA (Normal Game), I had a few mods installed. I was trying out a new car ( Mod ) and then the game Crashed. that normally happens with me sometimes, so i thought I'd open it again, and there would be no problem. But when i opened it, and went to the loading page... It froze at like ... 85-90%. So i tried again, same thing. I removed ALL the mods I had and tried again, same thing, so im looking for a way to fix this problem, and i can't re-install the game because the CD is not with me now. its at my cousins. so is there a way to fix it without re-installing it ??

No, replacing gta3.img would be enough I guess.

No, what file did you replace?
Like when you modded a skin in gta3.img then reinstall gta, or look for the original gta3.img files on the internet.
Google is your friend.

if its a car mod u can try rewrite the car (example mod is on a Voodoo and u put a new mod on the Voodoo) i always do that when one mod is screwed or something :D

Try reinstalling it in a new folder, and if possible, delete the mods, i believe there was someone that posted a download for the original gta3.img files, not sure if thats the file with the cars in it.

here it is:
Or just replace the gta3.img file which you can find here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PK60R1NO (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PK60R1NO)
this is the original gta3.img file, i believe its a zip file.

Formatting your PC makes you lose everything... you could try System Restore before it. :) Just incase. (Menu -> Accesories -> System Tools -> System Restore)
