1. Use classic windows style (looks worse, but you'll get use to it - and it drains less CPU).
Also turn off all visual effects of Windows.
2. You can close proceses:
- Adobelmsvc.exe
- MDM.exe
- Adobelm_Cleanup.0001 (both of them)
- GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe
- iPodService.exe
- iTunesHelper.exe
I dont think it will mess up your PC.
Then your PC should run faster ;)

U have too many things turned on. CLose Photoshop, that consumes a lot of CPU usage. Or u can do like this :
Open My Computer-> Properties -> Advanced Option. Then the 1st option u see there, its "Presentation" (dont know what is it in ur native language), -> Settings -> Adjust For Best Performance.
That might save u a lot of power source. Oh, i got one more solution for u, this one is easier.

U might wanna clean ur Temp Internet Files and Cookies as well. I dont know if u're familiar with this program, its called CCleaner, just one click, and all ur Temp IE files, Cookies, History, Recycle Bin and all those unnecessary left-overs will be gone.
It does increase computer speed a bit cos it frees up some spaces in Hard Disk.

My PC runs over 50 processes :P
Realplayer always opens, and eats my RAM like a hungry whale :D so I close it.
Also, for AOL owners. These processes are as far as I can tell useless:
aolpspd.exe
aolsoftware.exe
aolsoftware.exe
aoltray.exe
The second uses over 30 meg, so it saves me some Processing space to close it :rofl:

Your computer is like my first computer lol.
It was working up to 90% all the time (CPU) and stuff :D took 10 minutes to log in lol
Well anyways. Dont s omany program at once, and maybe download CCleaner to make it a little bit faster (?)

Go to start > run and type 'msconfig' (without the 's), an go to the startup tab. You can close all the unneeded programs from opening at startup. Also, a defragment wouldn't hurt.

Hes using Norton AV, which in my opinion is a resource hog., but it works fairly well, i have to agree.
And by the way, dude, ur computer is infected. I recognised one worm directly, that regscan.exe is a virus. Heres the description of regscan.exe
"regscan.exe is added by Trojan.W32.Rbot. It is a worm which attemps to spread via network shares. It also contains backdoor Trojan capabilities allowing unauthorised remote access to the infected computer. If found on your system make sure that you have downloaded the latest update for your antivirus application. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system."
I.m sure there r more of them.

BTW the one more suspicious daemon.exe was just the process for DAEMONtolls.
Anyway, the funniest thing is that I only have internet ADSL 2 months ago but this processes were there long ago.

As far as i know, wuauclt.exe is not a virus, it shows up in Task Manager, when Windows is updating. And ctfmon.exe is not a virus either, im sure u have Microsoft Office installed, this belongs to them. I hate daemon tools, most of them comes with virus in it. Its better to burn the files in dvd discs instead of mounting them on daemon tools.
I would suggest u not to mess with the registry until and unless u're sure of what u r doing. Anyway, u type regedit in Run if u wanna check ur registry keys.
The most important thing is to keep ur system up-to-date. Get windows update, ur latest AV updates, and so on.
