Geforce GTS 250 or ATI Radeon HD5770?
-
I prefer nVidia cards personally.

Hmm i've seen couple of comparisons... but i'm not familiar with ATI technology so... idk...

ATI vs nVidia. its a matter of personal preference to most, but if your looking for pure power, and which is better in this question, its the ATI 5770.
Its Core Clock, Shader Clock, and Memory Bandwidth (among the most important things to compare) are slightly to far better on the ATI card
so, i would recommend the ATI one ^^
-
ATi is the one with more power from those two.. And also it has DX11 support, meaning you should be able to carry on couple of years with it...
Neave, ATi does not have shader clock.
-
saw a couple more benchmarks, i'm more in for the 5770

Shader Clock = Memory Clock
-
shader clock = memory clock
huh? how comes i can adjust both seperatly then... correct me if im wrong. And no need to comment on how low mine are!

Well, if i read right, ATI shader clock = ATI core clock or stream processors or something
-
I run a GTS 250, best money ever spent. The fan keeps it nice and cool, and it runs like a champ

because I was speaking in terms of performance, and not being literal :p clocks are kept in proportion for all graphic cards
-
ah
-
I would recommend the ATI card, Alarbaz0r. :cop:
-
I'd pick Nvidia, i have one myself and it runs pretty much every game.
-
Shader Clock = Memory Clock
If you don't know, don't say...
ATi does not allow to change shader clocks, as there so many of those and they cannot quarantee that all of them works when overclocked.. NVidia doesn't have so much shaders, but they're much more faster than ATi's..
HD 5770 good sides:
DX11 support
Average of three FPS more in games, such as Call of Duty: WOrld at War
Does not get so hot as GTS 250
GTS 250 good sides:
It's nVidia, as most of the games are "modified" for nVidia.. (The way it's meant to be played), meaning it'll get higher FPS in those games.. (Crysis, CoD2, 4, 6, Far Cry 2, San Andreas etc..)
GTS 250 bad sides:
No DX 10.1 support.

ATI Radeon HD5770

Go for da ATi... I feel like all their products have extremely good quality, you never get dissapointed when buying ATi. That's my opinion.

NVidia does have better quality in their products, but ATi is cheaper :)
