Hey, so recently I have alot of problems with cutting a picture, photoshop is kind of bad for hard cut's so im looking for a program what would be best in cutting out pictures(making renders). So maybe anyone could help?

Gimp? Free and good one.
Or Picassa for pictures..
Or PAINT! Always the best :D Simplicity for the win :D
Paint.NET is also good :P Along with Gimp.

Of course you can zoom : P
Left down corner, you've got [ 100 % ].
Change that to 500, 800 or 1 000 :P

I have GIMP... It is a freeware and it is practical/handy like Flameman said
Go for it

I like Paint.NET.

As far as I know in CS2 there's also such a corner with % of zoom.
-
I haven't used CS2 for a long time, but I'm sure you can zoom in as much as in any newer versions of photoshop. And I prefer you use pen tool instead of other cutting tools.

If you want to crop (or cut) objects from image, look for images with white/black or any clear backround. For example, a woman which clearly shows in it and with white backround. Then use the Colour Select -function (Select -> Colour Range) and choose the clear backround, hit OK and Ctrl+X or Delete or something else to remove it. Or you can use the Quick Selection tool, which works pritty much the same way but you can work more in details with it.
