Underwater Sound Issue

Well, just need a bit of help with a few problems that are pretty annoying during gameplay.

First is this sound issue, it's pretty simple but for some reason no one knows why it's happening or how to solve it. My "playback" system is Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 and has the most updated drivers.

So the problem is that at random times it will start making an odd "bubbling" sort of noise which will then go away in a while if you don't do anything - while if you make an abrupt noise (such as changing the view ingame with V) it returns the sound to normal. It's really annoying, it makes sirens and car engines sound like they're underwater.

Alt-Tabbing // Windows 7/Vista

The other annoying issue is the alt-tab one.. For some reason on Vista and Windows 7, whenever I alt tab on either operating systems there's a high chance that I'll end up crashing. It's pretty random, and on Windows 7 I thought that it stopped since it didn't happen the first (about) week when I got Windows 7, but now it's doing the same thing that happened when I worked with Vista.
When I alt tab and try and re enter the game it either:
Pops up and I can click on the resume game and continue playing
I can move the mouse around but when I click "Resume Game" the game freezes causing me to ctrl alt delete out and it comes up with the "gta_sa.exe has stopped working" error.
Please help. D:

CPU Lag Spurts?

Well, I've saved the best for last.
Lately ingame it seems I've fixed my lag issue, with a small exception.. My game will (approximately every 5-10 minutes) start lagging horribly causing everything to go slow, typing, driving, etc. and then after about a minute or so it will resume to normal play.

Even MORE recently I've found out the hard way that this isn't game lag.. somehow it's my computer completely slowing down. Smiley gifs will move slow, programs open slowly, and games lag.

I've ran CC Cleaner and worked with the registry option of it as well as trying a few things with my laptop's battery thanks to my cousin but it hasn't seemed to make a difference. This issue is pretty major, so any help would be appreciated.

Did you install the latest updates for both your sound cards and graphic cards?

Did you install the OS or it already came with your computer? (tower or laptop)

If you can't fix it. Just backup your files in a DVD or a storage device. Then format your computer fully.

I used to do that a lot with my desktop PC when such problem occurs.

Does your hard drive make alot of noise? Ifso, how old is it? Maybe you should try and replace it somehow.
Ever had bluescreens?
Try, instead of alt-tab, the Windows key to go out of a game.
Try a complete clean of your laptop... Take all parts out and back in again...

I dont know your hardware compilation, so i dont know if they all work together correctly...

Cant think of more...

Bluescreens I get very rarely
Have tried to use the Windows key instead, doesn't change. :/
I DUNNO HOW TO. D:

I have an HP G60 laptop, Conexant HD Sound, GeForce 8200 M G Graphics card, Win 7.

When did you install Windows 7?

If very recently, then try to reinstall all the drivers.

Im no expert on the laptop subject... But your saying your hard drive does make a lot of noise? Especially when your copying, saving or changing things on your hard drive?

A few days after Christmas, so about a month ago.

Well from what I've been experiencing lately my hard drive gets loud when I play games on it, which I expect. The thing is though, a few days ago when the lag spikes began the hard drive would start to get a lot louder than usual when the CPU was lagging. It also (after getting super hot without a power cord in it) starts running a lot harder and the lag spikes begin again.

Have you used any programes or looked in the bios to see the temperatures you are running at ?

Though some months ago i was experiencing the same problem with the lag spurts and loud hard drive activity but instead after around 10 mins of playing ingame the graphics would turn out blocky and white then the computer would freeze, i used to complain to bluefox all the time about it lagging. In the end i just replaced the whole computer ;/

The laptop becomes hot after those 10 minutes, right ? In my opinion that's the problem... The heat probably affected all other components.

If the Laptop still comes under warranty or repairs it may be easier to backup your data and send it away

Do you actually play games with the battery plugged into the main electricity net?
If you are playing games by only using the battery, your laptop might decrease in stability and sometimes performance.

I suspect your hard drive is at the end of its life, making writings and readings on the hard drive more difficult and takes longer (lag, decrease of performance). This may cause the lag and performance interruptions.

As for the freezes. Your laptop might get too warm because your CPU or hard drive needs to work to hard to get all things done. This can cause freezes or a sudden shut-down of your system. Make sure your battery has enough power to make sure all your components are fit of enough power... Laptops often have a problem with the battery, getting tired after too much use.
Batteries should only be recharged when fully empty, and also be recharged till they are full to the top. Otherwise your battery will get lower power after time.

As i can only judge on things your stating here, i cannot get a perfect solution and my statements are only guessing of my experiences and knowledge of hardware...
My solutions so far are kindoff radical... Maybe there is a simpler solution.

I had this problem with my computer, I installed 2GB extra memory and new graphics card and it still didn't fix the problem, but then I cleaned all the dust out of inside my PC and the fan, and then this problem stopped, not sure if you can clean the inside of a laptop though...
