I would encourage you, if you're planning to donate, to find an official charity website, as it'd be much safer and it'd get to the victims a lot quicker.

We are donating to UNICEF, We are contracting them either today or Tomorrow, and do you honestly think I'm sick enough to use the earthquake as a way to make money...

The PayPal should be linked up by Sunday, or during the week.

Frankly I don't care about Haiti. Shit happens, people die. What about the war in the middle east? No, nobody cares about that if some poor people die in an earthquake at the same time.

I fought in the middle east. It sucks.
I evaded out in going to Haiti on an operation with around 20,000 people there now from the Army/Marines.

I kind of agree.

I think the United states would just try and use this opportunity to occupy Haiti, of course barrack Obama is getting a nice big page in the newspapers with a halo around his head ^.^.

But none the less, people should not stop helping each others.

Right now in Nigeria 200 Muslims / Christians have been slaughtered / massacred by other religion Muslim / Christian. Why doesn't the USofA send a few jets there and show there good will there?

Hmm, I know what you mean, But everything like natural disasters are blown up in the media, making them seem more important than other things.
And anywaym I might not be able to do this, UNICEF hasn't replied so...I guess they don't want my help :/

As much as i support this, here in canada and the USA alot of donation are not making it to the effected areas. The red cross and amarican military took control of the only useable  airport in Haiti because they were afriad of the corrupt government, now the USA air drops alot of the aid into effected area since roads are not useable, the only problem with this is that %80 of the air dropped aid is getting picked up by rebels and used to buy weapons or support the rebels.

Holland donated around 83 million and rising. This is the most in Europe.
I dont know what will happen with all that money, but Im pretty sure most will end up to corrupt local leaders with their small armies.
And besides, we should not try to make that country better than it was before, we will not succeed in that.
If we do succeed in that, its pretty sad that we first need a disaster for such countries to develop the right way...

The people in Holland gave 40 million. The government doubled this amount. I wonder where this economic crisis has gone...  :hit:

Its so supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (this dictionary didnt recognize this word  :hit:)!

People in Haiti will need help after two or three months. Right now everyone just needs to survive, and not much reaches the victims.
Why ? One because 14.000 US soldiers are sitting on the airport blocking traffic from countries like Russia, France and Venezuela.
But the most important part is that there are too many roads blocked.

After a couple of months, the world will have forgotten the pictures on TV, just like they forgot the tsunami. What stays is a country where people have less than nothing.

Even the big charities will let 50% or more slide in to their pockets 'for future disasters'.

So if you can help by anything you know will reach people directly, do so. If it goes in to the pockets of unknown charities, or even big organizations, remember that the people who need it will not see a lot.

Small business's can do more for the people of haiti with the the money that most charities have, in terms of help.

Even the big charities will let 50% or more slide in to their pockets 'for future disasters'.

BE AWARE!

In the UK (&other places maybe) if you donate to people for any charity , they can put some of that cash into there own pocket , not for "Future disasters", but for there own big pie holes.
Even official charity collectors / charities do this - Charities are allowed to make a profit. Non Profit Organizations may not make a profit, i think.

MAKE SURE YOU READ THERE IDENTITY CARDS IF YOU WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH THOSE PEOPLE TAKE.

I think its like, you can collect as much as you want, but you must give at least

seeing as the rest of my message wont show, heres a new post.

You must give at  least five pounds (pound sign is fucked up currently, will report)
per 100 pounds you collect. Pretty sad don't you think?
