I've noticed a large about of protests lately, and lots of people complaining about being killed during them...
Let me quote a paragraph from the laws...
Civilian Laws
5.A) Protesting
If a group of civilians(at least 4 people) decides to protesting in public, the following requirement must be met:
-The protesters can not block the public services working [Police Dept., Medical Dept., Fire Dept., Government] .
-The roads of San Andreas must be clear, and passable for traffic.
-The protesters can not hide their face.
-The protesters can not be armed with any weapon.
-The protesting date must be announced before 5 days to fulfilment. SA:MP Events and Winners
-The organizers must be named, and they must give clear reason for protesting.
-The starting, and the ending of the protesting must be announced to be dead on time.
-The protesting must be started and finished in the announced time.
-The protest cannot be held when stated irresponsible or any other reason by court or law enforcements.
When the last requirement is not met, the protest will be officially stated illegal. Any protesters continuing to protest will be arrested for disturbing public peace(2). This can be done by brute force.
In recent protests, the following has happened:
Police work has been hindered,
The roads have been blocked,
The protesters have been armed with weapons,
None of the protests were announced even 1 day beforehand,
There's no exact start & end times,
The recent protests have been deemed irresponsible.
Force can then be used.
Follow the rules or expect to be killed. This is a warning.

I consider this a bureaucratic process introduced towards limiting creativity and imagination. A majority are well aware of the proactive stance towards the SAPD and understandable too. Though official, I see this post as a sly approach towards restricting manoeuvrability of civilian roleplay. In addition, each roleplay protest organised by Inferno 9 [i9] has won strong backing of the community through strong guidance and robust contingency plans.

You have to understand that although you have your rights to protest and moving up, you cannot start a revolution. In modern society, it just isn't possible. This country has rules, rules which are going to be followed, or you could land yourself in jail or with a heavy citation.
The SAPD stands as the law enforcement body fighting the criminal front, and if we have civilians hindering our job, it makes it that much harder. Regardless of how many you have backing you, you cannot go around the basic laws set in place by the government. Force is not something we like to jump to, I know personally that I would rather convince a group of people to disperse then start a firefight in which protester, police, and civilian lives will be at risk and inevitably lost. I run by the directive to prevent the loss of life, unless absolutely necessary.
I am entirely open to protests provided they are legal, and do not result in us having to spend time and precious resources to end. I think a well planned protest that is set in place days, maybe a week or two in advance will get a lot of participants. As you said, you have a lot of support, and your voices can go far, but not if your behind bars. Nothing is limited, so long as you adhere to law.

I'm not discussing the legitimacy of rules and regulations on our server. Instead, I'm challenging the need for making this a high profile area of concern when recent events were considered such a success. To me, it makes no sense to limit civilian roleplay especially when it's capable of introducing much fun, humility and influence for all stakeholders involved.
You are introducing real life principles of SAPD compliance into a freeroam roleplay community. If so, judging on the outcome of peaceful bloodbath yesterday - the SAPD would have been brought into disarray over the deaths of 35 peaceful protesting civilians.

I really don't like Frank's protests. It's like huge DM + Ban event. After some minutes , someone starts shooting and ruins. Then EVERYONE starts shooting and it's a World War 3.
-
IMO.. Fuck what Austin said, its not strict RP as people said, so people can do whatever you want...
you dont see the president say 'OKAY BEFORE EVERYONE FIGHTS, DONT BLOCK THE TRAFFIC' everybody is scatterd everywhere just like in real life. I dont know if you go to football matches.. but i do.. and believe me, me and my freinds gets fucked up everytime after the match, here in england they have huge brawls after the football match... obv i fight back and fuck em to but.. thats not the point

A little correction, Mike.
Inferno's protests are, and will be, ALWAYS, peaceful (or at least supposed to). Our point is NEVER to create a DM fiesta or to get someone banned. What happens, unfortunately, is that there's always a clown(s) who thinks "it's boring to just see Frank talking" and starts shooting.
Depending on us, Inferno 9, we will never behave like that. If we say that it's a "peaceful protest", then, it IS a peaceful protest.

Peace full protest that :
-The protesters can not block the public services working [Police Dept., Medical Dept., Fire Dept., Government] . You blocked LSPD
-The roads of San Andreas must be clear, and passable for traffic. You blocked the roads
-The protesters can not hide their face.
-The protesters can not be armed with any weapon. You were heavly armed when weaponry.
-The protesting date must be announced before 5 days to fulfilment. SA:MP Events and Winners NOT announced
-The organizers must be named, and they must give clear reason for protesting.
-The starting, and the ending of the protesting must be announced to be dead on time. Not announced since it always ends with mass killing.
-The protesting must be started and finished in the announced time. Ends when some people die + as i said NOT announced
-The protest cannot be held when stated irresponsible or any other reason by court or law enforcements.
And if its peaceful whats with the waving bats and the M4 and other weapons. Wearing a weapon in public is suspectable. You don't make peaceful protests while carrying M4 and bats.
-
Any protest or roleplay that is held as more or less spontaneous event is acceptable.
If people start organising protests everry day it will become boring and lose both fun and accpetance.
The main idea is to make something fresh which is not seen on a daily basis.
If it happens so often that it has to be regulated, it already is becoming boring.
Keep it genuine. ;)

You saw Inferno 9 with fireweapons?
No. Not our fault that, despite our several warnings in the chatbox, people brought weapons/displayed them.
The bats were only for the animations (/panic was the most used), we NEVER attacked a police officer with them!
And are you that mad just because we didn't announced it? What, you expect to have everything in control? You expect to see "robots"? Doing things you know they will?
Forget it. We will continue to improvise.
It WAS a peaceful protest, no matter what you say.

Like it or not that is the law. And you will follow it or face the police as you did.
-
The law's there for a reason, to prevent any problems/ deaths occurred during protesting.
If you don't follow the laws required to have a PEACEFUL protest, then don't complain if the police used excessive force.

I'm sorry, but did ANYONE complained? No.
Not from the civilians nor from the police part.

there has been no complaining about the protests but i am getting really sick of them happening EVERY DAY OR OTHER DAY it gets really boring the one on sunday i went off duty drove down the street and then decided i was going to help my fellow LSPD officers
