Hello,

I have a question... Does SA:MP have a virus? Or does it set open your ip adress so everyone can intrude your pc?

Really? So it is harmless if i start playing again? Cuz i heard rumours that if you play GTA SA:MP it will open your ports and that the admins can intrude your pc etc.,.

They can search your adress through very inaccurate "IP Scanners"   and they can ping you.   The government snatches anyone up who can do more than that :P

Jelle, just forget all about this, no one is going to hack you via SAMP

I doubt argonath admins will hack you, basically if you join server it lists your IP in. If you think someone is going to hack you via your IP you coudlnt play ANY multiplayer games.

Jelle all I have to say is that I have been playing for loooong time here (I sorta belong to furniture here) .... and SAMP is totaly harmless, just like several other games. You must only be web-aware :

-Do not use same password for each programs/websites
-Do not reveal your password to anyone, even if this person claim to be administrator. Administration will never ask for your password.
-Do not sell your account
-Do not accept suspicious links. If you have to reach a webpage, check it through google.
-Never post your IP.

Argonath administration does not :
-Track player (unless severe offence committed)
-Reveal your ip. All ip are kept confidential
-Keep your ip unless you get banned. If you get banned, your IP is kept to unban you but is not displayed.
-Sell personnal information. No one has access to personnal player informations.


In other words, it is 100% safe to play SA:MP if you don't go random around.

As for virus, it  never happened.
