Title: Overclock an cpu.
Post by: Gird3r on February 12, 2010, 09:52:24 pm
I have an computer that I build myself. Using parts from a store that's closed down now.

The bios is American Megatrends Inc.

The cpu settings are greyed out, how do I unlock this bs so I can start tweaking it?

Yes Its an AMI bios.

I wan\t these shitlock gone. I goddamn hate when cooperations locks things down. It should be illegal to prevent people from accesing the true strength behind computers.

Well i hope you can understand nerd language

More useful BIOS info is usually displayed when the computer first boots. It may be possible to identify (http://duxcw.com/digest/Fromshop/mb/det.htm (http://duxcw.com/digest/Fromshop/mb/det.htm)) the motherboard with that info. If you mean how to remove password protection on the BIOS

I understand nerd language.

I have been using computers and played with them, taken them apart and practically nerf them, i\m not a noob in that sense. I am however kinda nooby in the sense of Bios jumper and flashing/hacking it etc etc.

The options for the cpu are greyed out. Links to pictures with info.
