Title: Leaving
Post by: SafetyMoose on February 16, 2010, 01:13:43 pm
After attempting to spice RP up by making my ARPD fun and not some rant about how i hate the way ARPD works and all that crap, i realised that people take things way to seriously. Miss communication is something i think happens alot here and people are afraid to admit they made mistakes. After listening to people make negative comments about the RP i tried to make, it made me realise that this is niot an RP sevrer, no offence to enyone but its a "lets make our DMing a little interersting by adding a story to it" server. It pissed me off and i dont want to be in a server with people who are not welcoming and dont respect other peoples decissions.

To all you people who are saying "youll be back in two weeks" all i have to say is no, i have found a community who actually takes things seriously and is actually strict about the way they work. I will visit but take this as my resignation from every group i am a member of, its been fun and all the people who have helped me with getting to where i am today, i really appredicate it.

I had some problems with people, and you know who you are, all i can say is that those people can go die in a hole ^_^

Thanks to everyone who perticipated in Moose Season and making my Moose RP as fun as it could be, SACS will probably make some other person the Moose after they fired me yesterday and all i want to say is that im the original, dont forget about me.

Happy Chinese New Year!
And may the year of the tiger bring you good fortune and prosperity.

Yes.

And not only in ARPD, Swat and FBI too. For example, there was an illegal party yesterday and me and several other 'average' cops had decided to investigate. So I called 1-3 FBI and the mission was dead because all they did was take control of the situation and all we got was to take 1 criminal to the police station. Its just so unfair that normal Cops have to do the dirty work and others take control of the situation after the cops had the situation under control, and they get nothing in return except ''Go away, FBI/Swat are handling this now.'' Words from a real FBI member a few months ago, after about 10 cops (including me) had RPed for at least an hour and they show up out of the blue and, basically steal our RP so they can shoot the suspects.

There is still some RPers in the ARPD, some include Jenn_vice, Vince, Moose, and several other cops, but most are power-hungry and it is a reason why /frisk was removed... abuse.

But the Best RPers are new cops... I mean think of it. They want to learn the rules to become a good cop.Right? So they will. And they will be trained and trained.. and if they are truly a good cop, when they are given the abillity for more authority they will not become power-hungry as most of ARPD (Including SWAT+FBI) have turned out to be imo.

Not trying to start a rant-party but I think I'll just voice myself and other's opinions.

Bye m00se. I think you'll come back though.. hope u do. Your one of the several good RPers

leaving cause of Lack of RP in ARPD?
Hang out with i9, Cems, other crimial people and you will find out that theres no need to be in ARPD and theres alot of more RP in somewhere else.
You have to build that RP up, if someone takes it too seriously then go to next one, I personally have seen alot of great RPers in ARPD, you just need to start the RP.

Yeah. Seskom is totally right.
I mean, the police roleplay has been dead for I don't know how long.
Change character, roleplay something else, and I promise you it'll be fun.

Sad to hear you leaving Alex. If your fun in playing was ruined by a bunch of idiotic nerds, just ignore them and move on like the most of us do.

You will be missed among us. :bye:

But you're one of a kind, Vince. You're unique and a very excellent roleplayer.
The roleplay afterall is dead, I wish more people could be like you and actually do something of situations instead of making them as quick as possible.

RP in ARPD and other agencies are not dead. I just called everyone in to evacuate Palomino Creek due to a toxic dumping in the lagoon last week. As far as I have seen, everyone had fun.

Who are you? What are your previous names?

In relations to your comments about roleplay in this community, I agree to a certain extent. However, it is through your experience and how you help others in that will improve Argonath roleplay to a level where you are comfortable with. For example, Inferno 9 have turned Gas Station 9 into a criminal job centre. Through the skills we have learnt in roleplay, we are passing them onto new generations to make sure in the future they have the right principles and expertise to elevate our community to a whole new level of enjoyment.

There are many initiatives running where you can get involved in. Try not to get mixed up in the negative spiral among other players considered 'all stars'. Your welcome to roleplay at GS9 and see what tier of roleplay we are bringing into Argonath.

If you choose not to take responsibility to contribute towards the community that has essentially 'built' you.

I wish you the best of luck in the future.  :)

I was thinking of trying to help fix the ARPD, maybe try to get some of the changes reversed, however if im not mistaken, CBFasi said " If you dont like it then leave " so really its not possible to make change if your a no one.

Previouse names are [SACS]Alex_Walsh and [FAA]SafetyMoose

If you are committed towards working in the SAPD rather then exploring others avenues of development, I may have a suggestion that will be of interest.

Why not consider opening up a sub division in the SAPD. For example, the SAPD currently have SWAT, FBI and traffic patrols. How about opening up a specialist SAPD motorcycle unit, which operates against strict SAPD protocols? It could be a tagged group like SACS or non tagged whichever you prefer. The scope of working in the SAPD is limitless; you could try setting up a dispatch command service on /r or even turn into specialist case leader on a crime group.

You do not have to be a official group to be respected, admired and recognised. Players are often inspired by others from what I've gathered. Take responsibility for improving Argonath and you will bask in the heavenly glory and gratitude in the future.  :)

Currently the SAPD are not allowing any divisions / groups to be made to be run under us.
Title: Re: Leaving
Post by: Frank_Hawk on February 17, 2010, 10:45:36 am
Whilst the SAPD may not officially recognise a sub-division, I see no constraints with unofficially operating a SAPD specialist motorcycle unit or unofficial SAPD unit trainer. For example an unofficial sub group will be expected to fall under the rules and regulations of the SAPD or risk being terminated for malpractice. Any group or individual willing to expand on roleplay scope should be encouraged and not purposely enclosed in a cage.

People are lazy, Roleplay isn't handed to you, all you need is a little effort.

You know what you did. I don't need to make it public for all to see. You weren't trying to help ARPD one bit with what happened.
Before you did what you did, maybe then you could say you were trying to help, but after this, you've totally lost my respect.

i had my police group, the FAA, i loved that group. we did airport security and all that. Im not starting another poilce group since i already resigned and i dont feel like re-applying for ARPD. Im going to try the criminal life here, but for now im in China on a shitty laptop so i wont be playing till this weekend. I need time to look at my options.
