Argonath RPG - A World of its own

Through what I've witnessed in the last two months, more and more of the Argonath population are embracing values supported by Inferno 9 and Hank_Rafferty. These values are embedded into the tradition of Argonath, whereby we instil our experience and strengths in new, existing and veteran players. Hank_Rafferty in particular has impressed me as the closest thing to the perfect Argonath player. He is known as a man of secrecy often avoiding the general consensus of idiotic behaviour. Instead, through his vast experience he has and continues to teach many of Argonath's players how to act in the SAPD and beyond. Through his actions, he has created some of the finest community members and in turn increased the playability of Argonath.
Through the work of Inferno 9, Hank_Rafferty and beyond, I believe we are seeing significant changes in the community atmosphere, where general moods are swinging to all time high. An increasing player base is recognising how important it is to teach new, existing and veteran players how to act, behave and conduct themselves in a professional manner where we will gain recognition among new players, other communities and most importantly to those who invest in our time.
It's very important that we continue this momentum of focus in an bid of living the Argonath values and leveraging our community to where we are admired and proud of what we represent.
Keep up the great work.

Sorry but its not like only Hank_Rafferty and [i9] helps the new people, theres like alot of other people who help them also.
-
Do you make your posts sound uppity on purpose, or is it an accidental effect?
-
I've tried multiple times to change my actions and behavior ingame. But all I get back is negative comments and bad behavior from the people I once gave advices.
So Frank, maybe before you cheers a person with a post like this, you should look around. People that helps doesn't always stand at a fucking gas station, you know.

Yes.. it seems you guys are always talking about yourself, but you must recognize those who don't have a huge respected group to do it also...

Frank, I understand that you are trying to inspire people to try harder with roleplay but to be honest you are appearing to be completely ignorant of the current situation on the server.
Roleplay has been something that people are losing touch with, and there has been no real change in this fact for a while now.
Hank Rafferty is a great cop, but other cops are helping other stoo. Why have you only commended Hank? Is it because he has done more than the other cops in teaching others or has it been simply to do with the fact that you don't leave GS9 and don't see any other cops?
Also, you are under the impression that moods of players are at an all time high. If you think that this is an all time high in Argonath, you don't know Argonath well at all. Things were better a long time ago, when players were less materialistic. Players are more materialistic than ever now and have been complaining more than ever, so I fail to see how we are at an all time high.
Roleplay may have improved at GS9, but it hasn't improved much anywhere else. This is evident from the constant remarks that players are making both in-game and on the forums about the lack of roleplaying ability of players and how everyone is being hostile.
As a scripter I would just like to say that this is the WORST period that I have done development work, simply being of the attitude of everyone. So in sincere response to this topic, I want to know from you what exactly is so much better now, because so far you have proven that you don't know what is really going on outside of GS9.

+1, David.
You don't see what's happening everywhere else, Frank. Hank is a good cop, yeah. But what about THE OTHER COPS THAT'S HELPING NEW PLAYERS?

I'll take a guess Hank was or is soon to be invited into i9.
This is why this topic was made.

I don't really care.
I just don't see the point of praising Hank when he is most likely one of 100 that's helping new players, as a cop.
-
Frank talk's about what he really see's on the server. Clearly Hank is the best cop that he met. Others cop out there who Frank didn't see don't need to be putted name here. Frank is just giving a word about what he witnessed here, not about all of it.
Hank is a good cop. :)
-
This is only complimenting Hank - it doesn't have to do with i9 or anything. Just a tribute.
-
I used to do a lot for i9 around Gas Station 9, I never had a topic.
But anyways, Hank Rafferty is a good cop :cop:
-
Just a tribute.
Hank is a topkop. Of course there are other people who help new players, they know who they are, so no need to say their names.
-
Hank Rafferty is a great cop, indeed. He's patient, but impatient. Patient, because he's willing to help another person or whatever. Impatient, when people are ignorant towards him. He does deserve credit.
I recommend spreading your help over vast areas, such as more areas in LS, SF, and/or LV. This could involve using more members, but will help you in the long run.

Excuse me, but we dont commend people then immediately invite them to our group. Hank is a great cop but who knows, he might SUCK as a criminal? You feel me?

Got someone to admire? Go ahead, make your own topic :)

I take it that you have never chased =AV=Vice911 then?

Haha.
I think Frank got too obsessed with this game at the point of thinking it's real life. /facepalm
From what I've seen, Frank got a huge admiring to Hank in the last few days, which made him posting this topic. It's a game yo. :help:
-
Hank is a great cop and wonderful person in fact, but there are many Argonath players who are trying to maintain the high level of roleplaying..
We cannot generalize like David did..
Roleplay may have improved at GS9, but it hasn't improved much anywhere else.

David - this is through my own observations. Claiming that I cannot see beyond the four walls of GS9 is unfounded. You decided to help the community via scripting, it was your decision and along with your decision you chose to take on the responsibility and duties of which you knew would be pressurised. In addition, within these duties, your job will entail severe harassment of one's values. As a consquence, I consider your view distorted from a scripter's perspective building from your limited leverage in the community.
To those who missed reading between the lines, I have highlighted where I have commended the extended community in relations to improving the playability in Argonath. Regrettably, I cannot recognise a majority of people here replying to this topic as helping the positive atmosphere. To those who have really committed, you have my admiration and gratitude for all your patient work.

Hank is a good cop :alert" :cop: :alert" :alert" :cop: :alert"

Guys i didn't really get why you got pissed. He just wanted to send his regards and share his feelings.
-
Hank is a wonderful guy who always finds time to talk and rp with you, no matter how well he knows you, if he even knows you at all. That contradicts more than 90 percent of all the other high ranked cops. :)

I understand you Frank. But in my opinion every player, admin, and developer are doing their best to make this community better.. even if we dont know. ArgonathRPG will be always a funny place where astonishing situations are created. I usually RP a serious person in game, but i laugh my ass off IRL when the game and players making ridiculous situation... just i dont type in the chat (lol rolf lmao). This makes argonath so entertaining.
Thats a good thing, you feel that is your mission to guide and help the new players. But we can not recommend others, if they dont feel the same as you. I guess nobody recommended you Frank to creat this topic, or help the new players on your own time, and money. Its your own decision, and i guess many people set you as an example, and follow you. Also the admins applied to the job, to help people. We are thankful for them, but we wont create to each admin a "thank you" topic.. however they would deserve it. Personally, im thankful for the criminals to entertain me with good chases, shootouts, and many many different RP situations.
Everybody knows their place in the community, and it unites us as a family.
:ps: this topic is not about me, even if my name is mentioned in the title and first post
-
I fail to see the point of this topic.

You said that 30 times now, Dacotaco.
-
Would you tell me the point then...?

IMO People in general are very jelous over a x ammount of random stuff.
Many of the players would die to be in the glance of Frank, now when one person gets lifted by Frank i guess the others feel left out. If they were certain they are doing everything that for example Hank does and soo fourt, they wouldnt need to claim thereselfs as "similars". They would just know it.
I think its almost embarrasing to see people i share the community everyday act like this and gets pissed for what?
As long as all do from there own ability to better the community great, and no one have stopped anyone from telling people they like what there doing. Soo One Love and bring the hating to another forum, were in this togheter!
