It runs Windows 7 64bit and apparently the audio is not working on any jack with is on the motherboard, though the software recognizes the jack as used when i try to play sounds it doesnt work, just shows the green colon moving but without any sounds, now, i tried to install several drivers that i found on google, also changed different settings on the bios didnt work, also the sound seem to work through an usb headset. I thought it was a problem of broken jack but... as there are 8 jacks i dont think they broke all in the same time, so anyone has this problem?can anyone help me? currently im installing windows xp to assure the the condition of the jacks!

Might indeed be a Windows 7 problem, some hardware is still having problems with Win7, did you find any Windows 7 drivers of your motherboard, or did Win7 automaticly download them?

well fresh from installation it used to work then when i restarted the system it didnt work anymore, yes I tried any kind of drivers from Kets modded drivers to each realtek drivers, the strangest thing is that it shows the the sound is working, but no sound output is sent to any of rear jacks, usb works fine, detects easly and sounds gets out clear.
it aswell doesnt detect front green jack, i searched on asus forum and on google but there are many threads which are not solved, even on asus forum.

To be sure try to install Vista/XP and see if it works properly, if it does, then ASUS has to fix the Windows 7 compatibility issue.

nevermind the owner will keep windows 7 and usb audio device untill solution comes up on asus forums :P
