Title: Typing an ad in /p
Post by: newton_alex on March 06, 2010, 01:03:12 pm
Well it was said that if you don't type /ad and just type [SELLING]House in LV it is script abuse however Tommy_Corleone was unsure so i am basically asking is it script abuse ? I want to be 100% sure for myself aswell.
Also it's quite obvious that people are typing .ad ON PURPOSE to avoid the 500$ /ad fee. I know some people accidently fail on it however some people do it on purpose.

So basically is typing an ad in /p script abuse ?

You pay $50 for making your ad orange and rather standing out in the chat (+ auto-adding contact number). But I don't see why couldn't you advertise in global chat.

It's 500$ now.

$500.
Some admin told me that is taken as script abuse using /p for adverts. Although TheRock_Kolta told me it's allowed...
I still think it's script abuse :o, we're all paying $500 for it, why wouldn't you pay?

And now insteaf of abusing /ad, they abuse /p.
That's the side effect, plus to thoose who told me that it's allowed to use /p for ads, tell me please why the **** we have /ad  then?

Always attempt to see the larger picture.

Not script abuse...answer is what Grz said. You pay to have your ad stand out amid the ocean of white. You get a better chance of selling/buying whatever you want. That is what you pay for...
Furthermore advertising in /p does not mean you cannot get suspected if you advertise something illegal..

The SAMP Manager has spoken, advertising products and services in /p is allowed. We're saved!

I thought it was /p abuse to avoid paying advertisements fees.
But he's the manager, and im the player, you win then :p
Now, we all gonna /p [ADVERSTSIMENT] :::::::::::::::::::::::::rushing for double line::::::::::::::::::.. Selling weed!!! Contact me. - Each 10 seconds, yippie!!!

I see xcasio's /ad's price has failed, since we're allowed to use /p now :D
Thank your Cutt3r for explaining us!

If you decide to abuse the freedom given with rulebreaking, be prepared for admin action. Understand my statement in its true meaning instead of taking a literal meaning to everything said.
xcasio has succeeded in reducing /ad abuse to almost 100 percent. He has not failed.

Indeed, he decreased /ad abuse. We don't see too much orange messages but instead of that they're using /p - still the same spam, but without orange messages. Successfully eliminated the orange messages :)

How would we abuse it? :D - If you just told us /p instead of /ad is allowed... I can use /ad's each 10 seconds, then instead of wasting almost 30000$ on ad's we could do it free, by using /p :) - Ad's can have double line, and our new adv. place (/p) can have double lines too? Right?

Personally i would not go as far to warn or kick for using /ad in /p.

I would simply ask them to please use /ad instead

How would you abuse the freedom given to use /p for adverts? You answered your own question...spamming chat...

Sometimes I wonder if I really am talking to human beings who have the capacity to think and act or will jump into the well if the manager said to...

It's already getting spammed ;)
a) - $500 - orange message - No spam.
b) - $0 - white message - Gets spammed.

Which one you choose?
Using /p instead of /ad shouldn't be allowed, this is my opnion ;).
