Title: Anti-Virus FREE

Well I have tried to use AVG but no so keen on it - so any GOOD Free for life Anti-Virus' out there?

Try MalwareBytes' Anti-malware (MBAM)

Avast or use online scanners like MKS Vir or even Norton Anti-virus Online.

I guess it just down to preference really but i prefer to use...

Try ESET Nod32... i have trial version on.. uhm, 24067 days :D:D

Avira is too old, Nod32 to unsafe, AVG too much stress on CPU aswell as norton.

It doesn't offer live protection with the free version.

AVG is bloated, like Norton
ESET NOD32 is GREAT, but takes time to get used to, and sometimes may cause system errors upon uninstallation.
Avira is NOT too old! The older, the more experience! If you're talking update-wise, no way! It updates every single day.
