The Tsar Bomba is the nickname given to the largest, most powerful nuclear (or any, for that matter) weapon EVER detonated. This beasty bastard was detonated in mid-north Russia, on an Island named "Novaya Zemlya". The blast was 50 Mt (Megatons), but it was capable of yielding 100 Mt, meaning if this beauty was ever used on anywhere civilised, that place would be f**ked.

Now, as you can see, this thing is serious shit. How serious? It broke windows in Sweden and Finland. It could be SEEN from Finland. Look at the map I gave you earlier, notice how far away they are from each other!!
The seismic shock created by this bomb was felt AROUND THE GLOBE...Even on the shockwave's 3rd passage around the Earth!
..The most potentially destructive nuclear weapon ever created by the United States was a measly 25Mt...This beast was capable of reaching 4 times that amount!
Another measure of how massive this thing has the capability of being? If it was detonated at 100Mt, it would be equivalent to HALF THE SIZE of the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1883_eruption_of_Krakatoa) - some hefty shit.
Just thought I'd share how f**king awesome the USSR, and Russians in particular, were at making nuclear weapons. I for one am glad we never went to war with them!

Sadly Russians don't have technology and scientist support to create other weapons in modern days.
There was a documentary movie yesterday about USSR and their researches on weapons. And why do you think they actually got theese results? The reason is, the government threatened Russian great scientists to kill them if they won't do researches on theese technologies. That's why Russians have them today.

This is not the greatest bomb creatable though... imagine the tons of dynamite and such that could be used, but would be too dangerous. Either way, bombs need to be put out of use before one day it malfunctions... that would be a problem. Not to mention, taking one of these right into the center of a country... it is a wonder how people are stupid enough to even try this.
