I installed vc:mp from here:

VC:MP's incompatibility with Vista (XP wins).
Vista largely dislikes older games, so I'm not surprised you get that kind of stuff... Anyway try what Alarba said on the other topic:
Task Manager > Process tab > End vc-mp.exe process > No spam

win 7 is real nice, fast, and no more error messages..
the only problem is vc:mp :flame:
guess closing the prosess is the only solution..
thx for the answer :pop:

The solution is easy, although kinda annoying after some time...
Task Manager > Process tab > End vc-mp.exe process > No spam

Yeah you should use Task Manager to close it, thats what I do all the time.

Little bit reading around and you'll find out that scripts are not working good yet. It is under work and we hope to get it fixed as soon as possible.

this is a issue that happens in windows vista and windows 7.
when closing vc:mp window before click the close the window with your mouse, type ENTER key, (do not release) and click mouse key, this method works for me

Or Right click on icon (vc-mp) > compatibility > Run this program in compatibility mode : Windows 98 / Windows Me and Run this program as an administrator. And should be ok. (In the future for other ;p )
