Hey, sorry if this question seems very obvious.
I'm playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion and I am up to where you are in some guys dream and you gotta do some tests. I did one test where you swim in a tunnel filled with water, and now im up to the Test of Resolve. I kill the minotaurs and climb the stairs and take the Element of Resolve. Now this is where im stuck, what do I do now? I'm still there in the Arena, but the gate is locked, and I can't do anything else but move the minotaurs around and fire spells! When I try take the element again, nothing happens. Can anyone help me?

Reload a previous save. Kill the minotaurs that have over 9000 health. Then watch these little step things magically come out of the ground leading up to the element. Grab the element and it should teleport you back to the main room.

I have tried a billion times and the same thing happens. I think my game is fucked, I'm not paying for another one.

Reload a save before you enter the dreamworld, the quest seems to bug up alot.

Should I keep trying this? I go back a save before the dreamworld and I enter it, I then go to the Test of Resolve and it does it again. I repeat, but I don't go to the resolve one first, I try complete the others, but in the one where you have to take a certain path to not activate a trap, it crashes on the second path, but I have only tried it once so it just might be the game.

Must be the game then. Backup saves and reinstall?

I installed it onto my external hard drive and when I tried installing disk two of the GOTY edition, it must've screwed it up or the patch I attempted to install screwed it up, I will try reinstall it.
Can you give me a directory to the save, so I can back it up?

I tried doing all the tests, I made a save for each one. I can apparently only complete the one where you swim in the water tunnel, and then go back to the house successfully. all the others dont have doors to head back to when you have the element but Resolve and the water one. But the Resolve has a gate that shuts when you fight the minotaurs.
Can someone show me a video tutorial on how to do the tests?

I figured out what was going on. It was a bug!
I made a new character and I went into dreamworld in the bed next to the man. The tests worked perfectly. I couldn't sleep in a different bed, I had to go into the one next to the guy, NOT in a different bed. I also did the saving thing, I got now 67 saves altogether.
I would like to keep this topic open, I tried it only with a new character, not the one I had trouble with.

Two don't have doors, and in the Test of Resolve, the door cannot be unlocked even with a console command, it says its opened remotely.
