Story
I am Jake Sully, a 28-Year old male; I spent the whole of my life growing up in San Andreas. I was born in Las Venturas hospital and my parents later divorced. Im going to live with my mum in Los Santos with weekly visits to see my father in LV. My mum lived it rough. We lived in a motel down the road from Gas Station 9 and she was a hooker and would do anyone for any money just as long as she had income, she'd never been fussed about trying to be big. However my dad, was completely different to my mum he believed very strongly in giving me the best he could in every way so much he moved to the Ghost town in Bone County, just to pay for my college funds. When I turned 16 I went to live my dad who had by that time become a well known community worker and was making a lot of money compared to when he moved to the desert. I quickly noticed how isolated LV was compared to LS, apart from when the casinos open and everyone was there. I had always wanted to be someone and make a difference, this was it! So today, I begin my campaign to become the mayor of Las Venturas!
What are my current suggestions/ideas?
Population
The population of Las Venturas is slowly depleting as people move to the much more populated Los Santos, and now San Fierro. We need to LV to become more involved in business and sociality not just a place for people to gamble away their lives and never return, we need to give LV a new face.
Law enforcement
I believe that we need a stronger and more responsive police department, this can be obtained by having regular staff checks to ensure that officers are showing up to work to complete their duties, also voluntary cops will be supported in Las Venturas to ensure that the community is involved and knows what is going on in the Police force, also regular newsletters will be given out telling people what is going on.
Fire Department
Here in LV we have a Fire Department which I believe needs more workers to help out, both retained (Voluntary/Part time) and full-time, also I believe that we need more than one state fire department as there has been an up-roar in fires around San Andreas in which we have had to respond to and played a vital role in but I believe LV needs a higher funding to be put towards the Fire Department, these funds can be spent on re-vamping our current fire station and possibly create 1/2 new stations.
Medical Services
Is most counties of San Andreas there are 2 Hospitals, however once again Las Venturas are missing out, as we have 1 Hospital, however if I became in power I will be determine to make a new Hospital which is further away from the centre of LV so they can respond to outer-town calls, also I will ask the president for rights to have a Helicopter built for medical purposes.
Housing Development
As you may be aware recently in Prickle Pine a new housing estate was made with cheap affordable homing in efforts to boost LV's economy! I promise that in LV more homes like that will be built, all over, to increase the population which will thus increase the business economy!
Businesses
In LV there are many businesses which in all fairness do not create much business, which in result can mean the owners lose out on money and sell the business leaving it useless and making the streets look scruffy. If I was voted mayor I would recruit a team of citizens and workers to help me make note of ALL businesses in LV and their type, this will help Las Venturas citizens who are entering the world of business now what to invest their money into and where in the county.
Upgrades to the Government Services
If I was voted and made new stations for the Emergency Services I would also like to increase the availability of them to citizens and also response time.
I want citizens to be able to walk through the streets feeling safe and proud, I want them to feel respected and like they're recognized for right reasons. I want to also fight corruption within the government services, also I believe that all citizens have the right to prove their innocence if requested no-matter what the crime. The much more severe crimes such as murder will be punished by time in the Mordor High Security State Prison.
Civilians will have the right to comment how they want, within reason, and on whatever they want, as Las Venturas will hopefully be ran on the voice of you! The voting public and I will consider any comments made on anything within the state, no matter what your status may be within the state. I believe that all of the public should have equal rights and all treat in the same way.
