Title: JDC: Celebrating two years of Argonath
Post by: JDC on April 27, 2010, 11:54:39 pm
I'm currently celebrating my second Argonath birthday, although it's not as grand as others who've had 3 years and are going on 4, it's still a big deal for me :)

Two years ago, April 28 2008, I joined Argonath MTA:VC as another new Cop. I applied shortly after for the Sforza Mafia, only to withdraw my application when I founded the [AK] or Akatsuki Clan on May 4, 2008, which lasted for almost a year.

I applied for the VC:PD and got accepted due to my dedication to Cop work, along with one of my first friends on Argonath, Jingle. He became a SWAT Member and me an FBI Agent. In the meantime, I gained more friends on Argonath, such as the Sforza Mafia members, most of which have disappeared from Argonath. A few remain here today, although the only one I recall from the old days was Cutter, who was known as ArjunSforza.

Shortly after that, I decided to explore SA:MP in the days before the ASE shut down in MTA:VC, I first came there as an MTA:VC FBI Agent working on the SA:MP-MTA:VC smuggling case targeting EliteTerm. It was an epic RP, and there hasn't been anything like it since.

After the ASE shut down, I ended up developing technical problems due to RL circumstances, so I was unable to return to MTA:VC, so I decided to try my luck in SA:MP. While continually working for the MTA:VC FBI, I worked as well as a Freecop and applied for the SAPD. Things were a lot different back then, and I withdrew my Application when I got accepted into the SA:MP FBI as a Cadet. Before I joined the FBI, I viewed them as cold, silent, and epicly serious, I never knew that when I became close with the others, that it would become like a second family for me.

Soon, Jaaskaa got so tired of seeing me as a Cadet so he gave me the exam required for me to become an Agent. I was so thrilled seeing my name in dark blue on the chat for the first time ( :D ), and eventually I worked my way up the ranks. Special Agent after due time, SSA after an interview, and SAC after I got promoted by Jaaskaa, who took Fernando's place as Director when the latter resigned for some time.

By that time, I already started accumulating friends in the SA:MP Community, many of which have disappeared by now. Things change a lot and some of us can feel sometimes like a relic from an older age, although there are always things to look forward to in the future.

A year ago, after my promotion to FBI C. Division Assistant, I experienced the same inactivity problems I have today. In spite of inactivity striking at the most undesirable times, I always made it a point to come back since Argonath was like a second home for me, with =AV= and FBI like second families.

In the time that passed, I have learned many lessons on Argonath and acquired skills as well that helped me in my real life. From my experience as a Clan Leader and an FBI Agent, I have become a better Leader as well, and a better person. I have learned so much from this community and the people in it.

I'd like to thank the following. (I don't have a lot of time for today so I can't name all of you exactly :( )

God, or whatever the cause of the universe's creation is called: For making all things possible

My mom and dad: For making me and making it possible to post on this forum :)

All the food, burgers, french fries, and other consumables that have suffered destruction at my teeth: For being delicious to eat

Sauron, Gandalf, Aragorn, and Legolas: For founding Argonath and making this wonderful community possible, in spite of what it cost you.

All the other Leaders and Managers: For your effort to help maintain Argonath and make it a better place

Scripters: For their hard work and dedication to the Server, in spite of all the shit that ends up coming to you from ungrateful moaners

The rest of the A-Team: For working hard each day as well, and all the other moral lessons that come with it :D

Fernando and Jaaskaa: For being such great Leaders and mentors, I have learned so much from both of you.

Cutter: For being another role model as well, you've shown me that using the stick isn't necessary for all situations where things get unruly. A great admin since MTA:VC.

Janek, Dave, and all my other good friends in =AV=: For a great experience, both on the Clan and Personal levels. I really look forward to more good times :)

All my FBI buddies: For being such good colleagues

All close friends, past and present: People such as Giac, Jingle / Russle, Trobby, Sammir, Blanc Federico, Vince, Xavas, and many others. I've learned a lot from all of you.

Everyone who disagreed with me and my views on the Forums, especially Panda: Your criticism has caused me to improve as well. :)

And last but not the least: To everyone else who deserves my thanks yet that I forgot to name. I'm sorry I can't remember all of you :(

Happy Argoday to me and I wish for many more Argodays to come! :D
