Title: GTA: SA Problem
Post by: Cane on May 01, 2010, 09:39:49 pm: Yo. I've been trying to fix this problem for the past 2 days now, and I'm out of ideas. I reinstalled GTA:SA and SA:MP multiple times, but no luck so far. When I try to run GTA_SA.exe, the singleplayer runs fine. However, when I try to join a server in SA:MP, it says that the GTA_SA.exe file has stopped working, and shuts down. Help is much appreciated.

why not download SA:MP again and reinstall but first uninstall it.

Yeah, I have the CLEO stuff for ELM.

All of the suggestions above (except for re-installing Windows -_-) were attempted. No luck so far.

And delete the "gta_sa.set" file and see if it works.

Also, if youre running Windows 7 or Vista,
Run in Compatablilty mode for "Windows XP SP3"

Already did both of them.

Try to find the ELM mod topic here on the forums.
I had the same problems till I found the topic and downloaded a certain gta_sa.exe file

Actually, it might just be my computer that's having a fit. Bloody thing was formatted about 5 times, kinda expected this to happen.
