Title: Improving computer
Post by: Ratko Gavrilovic on May 06, 2010, 08:45:59 pm: hello guys. i was wondering if there is a way to improve my computer just a bit without buying new hardware, because i dont wanna spend much money to something that i dont REALLY need. so i wanna lower the lagg in games.
and make games run smooth.
things that i tried:

increase virtual ram.
put game settings to lowest.

increases performance of what?
and does it really change game litteraly?

edit: i installed it. and i configured the Turbo mode. but i checked the function:
Optimalize turbo mode no mather the energy usage (or however u say it in english)
does this mean that my energy bill will get bigger? i dont wanna spend much money on this seriously im scared lol some1 help me ?

Your energy consumption wont increase because of a program..

/me is newbie at the term: overclocking.

whats overclocking EXACTLY and how do i do it?

But it also makes the CPU/GPU more hot, so you need very good cooling system for overclocking.

Better, don't do it when you have other ways.

Best way to get computer faster, do complete format and reinstall Windows.
