Post by: VANCEPLAYER on May 13, 2010, 06:43:59 am
oh guys, some of you i told IG that i was lagging a lot, and i said i was gonna Re-install GTA SA.
so i uninstalled it, then i cleaned my PC's fan and removed all tha dust from it, so it won't overheat, when i finished with that, i went back to my room and tried to re-install GTA SA with my Original CD
it said there was an error. and i can't install it ! fuck ! why did i uninstall it?!?!
omg im so pissed off !
and this is the error, it's like im missing a file or something from the CD ! can anyone tell me what to do? is it my PC or the CD?

Feature: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Game Data

Component: Audio

File: D:\data2.cab

Error: Incorrect Function.
if anybody can help me out please i would appreciate it !
and if my Game CD is fucked up tell me where to download it.

Is your DVD scratched? If so, you can always bring it to a game store to get it fixed. You can also buy a new copy of San Andreas, they ain't that expansive these days :p

haha, yeah i thought it was scratched or dirty, so my dad cleaned it, and i tried to re-install and nothing, guys, i had some sound mods, and i did not un-install them, all i did was uninstall GTA SA, and not the sound mods, can that be the problem? that maybe it can't recognize the audio file because of the previous sound mods i had?
and Ryan lol yea i bought my GTA SA at Target, for about $5.99 lol
and the bad thing is that it was the ONLY copy left ! D:
lol but that was like a year ago, do they still sell them at walmart and stores like that?

I think the sound mods are conflicting with data2. Move your mods to a separate folder then re install the game, then install the mods again.

Delete the entire folder, then.
