Title: Mozilla Firefox randomly opening websites!
Post by: Thomas 'Leroy' Crof on May 15, 2010, 11:57:59 am
Hello lads,

I think I'm kinda f**ked.. Pretty hard in.. Alright, let's skip that part!

Whenever I'm on a website, such as the White Shadows', my browser (Mozilla Firefox) randomly opens other websites, such as Trivian. However, on ARPD site it hasn't happened to me (yet!). I think this is some kind of spyware or whatever; I'm not really into those things.

Now, I've scanned my computer 2 times (and Firefox's map once, sepperately) but it can't find anything.

Could you guys help me please?!

PS. I also get a commercial banner right on top of the screen. I can't re-call having it, before it started doing weird things.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware by clicking the link below:
|MG| Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.41 Download

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan. (Make sure a tick mark is placed to all your local drives)
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Please post this log in your next reply.

Please Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

I'm now trying this :) And it already found 3 infected objects in 1,5 minute :(

EDIT:
While I was trying to uninstall MOHAA(S) I stumbled across LoudMo Ad *something*. Just so happens to be that all the website that open, are "Powered by LoudMo" :D I think I got it :)
